The topic had nothing to do with his off field issues. The OP was discussing the fact that he has not asserted himself on the field and competed to start.

His off field issues, thus far, has not prevented him from competing although it may be related to his mindset.
Completely disagree. W/ his skillset, the problems he's having point directly to attitude and off field issues.

The pick spent on Wright was arguably worse, and both were handled terribly for a team that uses draft only to improve.

They fixated on corner after missing on Horn/Surtain and all but admitted so.

The Wright pick was thrown to Quinn because they had 3 of them, so it was like a Marinelli moment. No one had that dude graded above the 6th round but Quinn worked him out personally and fell in love I guess. Case in point why assistant coaches should not make draft picks.

Not seen a lot of games this year but which is it, one minute Brown is a jag and then he is the man. Can’t have it both ways. So confused per this board.

Aside from Joseph, I don’t understand the obsession with replacing Brown. He’s a damn good CB and has been even better this year than last. He’s going to get a nice contract this coming offseason.

Next year when Brown is gone, Joseph, Bland, and Wright will all be trying for that spot. May the best man win.

Until then, we have good depth and a good gunner on ST’s. Yes you want your 2nd round pick doing more than that, but if he’s a good starter next year and the year after then it’ll be a lot less disappointing. We’ll have to see.

You are right on about Brown . The obsession people have with him unreal . He practices he plays he’s not making off field headlines . I said this before for the price of a Chidobe Awuze they were able to instead keep Brown and Lewis . When the FO gets it right they get it right .

Yeah, LVE is absolutely killing it out there tackling 20 yards down the field. So are our DTs.

Some of you are in for a rude awakening when this run defense is one of the reasons we take an L.

4 Tds in 4 games What in the HELL are you talking about ?????? I'm not talking about I think MAY happen , I 'm talking about what HAS happened.. Saquon Barkley ran ruff shod (Or so they say he did) on this defense. Question, how many point did it lead to ? Ditto with the Commodes How many times did they score ? Tampa ? Bungles ? Dude Quit while you're ahead ! SHEEEEESH the defense has already won us two games and kept us in all of them!

Some fans still have zero respect for him lol. He’s as good a CB2 as you’ll get around the league and will get paid as maybe more after this year.

I’ll be interested to see how much love Brown will be getting after this week.

If he’s getting torched by Allen Robinson and Ben Skowronek then wow lol.

Him and Diggs will both get runs with Kupp but he’s gonna get numbers regardless. He’s the most targeted player on a team with 0 other WR threats. Mix that in with his elite route running and I wouldn’t count on any team shutting him down.

I have a strong feeling that the Rams are going to make it a point to target Brown. I hope he’s up to the challenge.

He's already been torched a couple times by similar talent.

In the salary cap era, you don’t have three years to wait on a draft pick.
That's fine. Never said he was a wise choice. What I'm saying is he's shown on the field that he's capable when called upon. It isn't his fault that Diggs developed into an all-pro corner overnight and Brown cemented himself as a very good #2. Who do you bench to put him on the field?

QB's throw at Brown because Diggs is on the other side.
There will be completions on Brown, but he makes it manageable for a CB2.
Bland stepping up and knowing his role, will go a long way into improving this secondary.
Not worried about Brown, he knows his game.

I have noticed KJ on ST be one of the first to make a tackle . Not sure that was the purpose of a # 2 but so far that’s it .

I thought this guy would play a lot more and take over Brown's spot, but damn I was wrong. He's been a major disappointment , he's played only 6 snaps on defense. I know it's early, but damn, this guy is earning that bust label real quick.
I don’t understand why fans are surprised. He only played a handful of games in college and he was not impressive at all other than having a good physique for the DB position. He was a terrible draft pick with very limited ability.
