Well, now Mickey is saying Wade almost admitted in the walk-off with the press that Ball will play FS. But I still think Hamlin would have to play quite a bit in the nickel, with Ball being our 4th corner.

I said this yesterday. Luckily we are playing two bad offensive teams in the next two games and then get a nice layoff after Thanksgiving game. I think we can survive the injuries to the secondary until the Giants game on Dec. 6

Did Hamlin hurt himself on the play, or celebrating after the play?
I believe Brooking rolled on to Hamlin's ankle during the tackle. Ken got up to celebrate what was believed to be his first tackle or meaningful contribution this season, and found he couldn't celebrate so he laid on the ground until the training staff arrived.

Did he hurt it celebrating??

I thought he was the one that immediately got up and sprinted out of the camera view and then only to be shown on sidelines later..!??!

I should have rewinded it on the DVR.

Well everyone who was killing Hamlin will now get to see how we do out there without him.

While this may in fact be true, I have to believe that having Richard Simmons in the locker room would make the other 52 guys feel pretty damn uncomfortable

Does anybody really believe the 2-4 week projection for a high ankle sprain? Isn't it more like 4-6 weeks?

Hamlin (Ken) has been pretty good at tackling this year. I just wish he had been more of a ball hog and intercepted a couple.

I would start Ball in his absence and then bring in Watkins or M. Hamlin in the nickle and dime. I'd kind of like to see what Mike can do.

Watkins gave up some plays after filling in. I guess now we get to see how important Hamlin really was to the defense.

Well this week should be fun.

Thats a bummer. Hopefully jenkins and ball are ok and play all the snaps.

that is a valid point and question, would it have been wiser to insert your backup and pull the starters and save them for the season?

********....
Pull them when? Cloumbo got hurt in the 2nd quarter, Jenkins in the 3rd, Hamlin in the 3rd.
Really....?

Hopefully we get to see Mike for a few snaps. Would love to see him ball out and play a great game, but I'm not expecting anything huge.

Get well soon Hamlin!! :starspin

Heh I think of late, Watkins has been an upgrade over Hamlin. I'm not sure I would play Mike Hamlin over Watkins at this point. If anything, I think our free safety should be Sensabaugh. He is the cover guy. Hamlin was a strong safety when he was with Seattle I believe.

The only reason he played free safety here was because of Roy Williams was the strong safety. Should have made the switch during training camp.

How could you even possibly say that? Before this last game, the guy had played only a handful of snaps at safety all season. How could he possibly have been an upgrade? He's not even hardly playing the position.

And now, apparently according to Wade, he's not even going to take over the starting role.
