Kendall Langford released from STL

Your standards seem extremely high but you don't want the high priced FAs either,if its up to you who would you sign?

If I'm looking for pass rush out of the DT spot then I'm going with Paea. If I want a run-stuffer then I'm going with Kenrick Ellis.

At DE I'm looking at Sheard.

Yes, Langford is better than Hayden.

I think Kenrick Ellis is a better player though. He might be too large for a Marinelli #1 DT though.

Stephen Jones has said the team wants to get younger at this posistion.

Seems to be a recurring theme recently. I suspect that is a big part of the business model we operate under now. If you look at our track record under Garrett it's my bet he is behind this, pushing every chance he gets.

What do you think of Corey Peters from Atlanta @xwalker ? Had a chance to watch him at all? The achilles injury from 2013 is a little scary but he should be fully recovered after playing through most of last year

He has some similarities in style and ability to Langford. Good against the run with good quickness for a 1tech. I would say that Langford is a little quicker.

Peters didn't look like a high motor guy. He comes off the snap well, but if he's not winning he tends to let up quickly.

Obviously, he would be an upgrade talent wise to Hayden; however, he would have to buy in to Marinelli's concept of going 100% to the whistle including giving chase outside.

thats a good thing, but also has its short comings. Dallas is already the 4th youngest team in the NFL. I think losing players like Hayden, Carter, Spencer, Parnell, Murray and most likely replacing them with rookies, and i think DE with one of the younger ones in FA will push this team up to maybe 3rd or 2nd.

I would like both Langford and Paea. Langford can switch back and forth as a 1 and 3. Paea can play the 1.

This guy won't stop. Paea stole his girlfriend in high school or something.

I see you've made your 5th topic about not wanting paea... I think we get it now.

Langford is OK, but being 6'6", 295... I don't see him being stout against the run as a #1 DT. Probably a little better than Paea against the run, Paea is better rushing the passer.

Ellis would be a better choice as a #1 DT IMO. Sign Paea as a guy who can split snaps with Crawford and can play next to Crawford on passing downs.

NFL.com says 6-6, 313.

How tall was Lett?

Lett was 6'6" I believe.

Hennings was also 6'6".

Someone can correct me, but I don't think Jimmy did the NT/Under-tackle alignment in his defenses.

Back in the late 1960's the KC Chiefs had Ernie Ladd 6'9" and Buck Buchanan 6'7" as their DT's.

Ladd played for KC in the end but Buck was always a Chief. Just FYI Mr Winicki. :) Lots of big guys in the interior of lines but you guys are right in that some can't play there.

And Big Cat was really Big Cat II. Ladd was the Original Big Cat. Not to be confused with the original Bad Bob.
