Kendall Langford released from STL

We are playing more two gap techniques but you're right in they love those 1 gap techniques here. I think if we had someone capable of playing multiple techniques we would do so. They have talked of playing more like Seattle but we don't have the tackles for it.

Lett was 6'6" I believe.

Hennings was also 6'6".

Someone can correct me, but I don't think Jimmy did the NT/Under-tackle alignment in his defenses.

Back in the 1960's the San Diego Chargers had Ernie Ladd 6'9" and Buck Buchanan 6'7" as their DT's.

Johnson's teams played a 4-3 over, not 4-3 under, so that is correct.

Langford is OK, but being 6'6", 295... I don't see him being stout against the run as a #1 DT. Probably a little better than Paea against the run, Paea is better rushing the passer.

Ellis would be a better choice as a #1 DT IMO. Sign Paea as a guy who can split snaps with Crawford and can play next to Crawford on passing downs.

I don't think he's 295 Michael. I think he was probably 295 coming out. I think he's probably around 315, 320 now. Maybe more, IDK.

Just going by Marinelli's history. He seems to use short DTs. Hatcher who he inherited and didn't keep in FA was the only tall DT I remember playing his defense.
