Kenneth Murray comments about joining the Cowboys

Murray has always been a great athlete with great physical skills. He fills the stat sheet. He's a leader. He works hard.

The problem is his football instincts are lacking. He can be fooled easily by play action and misdirection, and in pass coverage he looks completely lost. The Cowboys are going to have to put him in situations where they can just turn him loose and not make him have to think or diagnose.

Some of those words you started off with remind me of a buddy I know who plays for the Cowboys Mountaineer loves him!!

“I was an underachieving overpaid LB who had done nothing to remotely justify my draft status and for sure thought i would be released. The only GM stupid enough to trade for me was away on his yacht, so i had little hope but i prayed and prayed and was still totally shocked to find out the moron actually traded for me”

Physically gifted but has no instincts whatsoever. Kind of reminds you of another ex cowboy who excelled in college by being physically gifted but never lived up to the draft status...

Run defense game is atrocious 185th / 189
Coverage is poor 119 / 189
Pass rush only thing he does well 38/189
Overall grade 169th /189

What was that saying about drafting "dumb" players....

I hate this team and everything about them. I will turn every positive into a negative anyway I can.

I love the dart throw. Didn't give up much for him in the big scheme of things, especially when he could start. He might be better than anyone we had starting for us last year not named Kendricks. When Overshown was healthy, he was developing into our best. Luafao popped at times. But now we have Sanborn and Murray. The room looks slightly better.

So he's bad against the run and bad against the pass. But otherwise what a steal :)

Jimmy Johnson always stated he wants smart players not big dummy's.
