well that's easy to say now. I wanted Philips that year since we have had a revolving door at both safety positions for a while now.

You surely couldn't tell by the way he played against us that he was injured. Obviously he had the 2 gimme picks but I never noticed how impressive an athlete he is before Sunday. He's a huge loss to their D.

Seriously, where does Miami - The U - find all these athletic freaks that play saftety? Sean Taylor was on his way to the HOF IMO. Surely Ed Reed is headed to Canton. And phillips and Merriweather are Pro-Bowl, possibly one day All-Pro type players.Those 4 are just from the last 7-8 years alone.

Memo to Jerry...draft the next great Miami safety. We surely need one.

well he drafted Roy Williams when he could've drafted Ed Reed for starters. also how come we haven't drafted a player from DA U! since I believe 1994 the last draft Jimmy was a part of?

The patellofemoral arthritis in Kenny Phillips' left knee is raising concerns that it could be career-threatening condition.
"I would have rather them said he tore his ACL and his MCL," said Dr. Craig Levitz, a noted orthopedist. "That's a much better injury to have. We can fix that ... Arthritis, we can't fix that." The Giants admit it's a serious condition, but they don't consider it career-threatening. One source said, optimistically, that "success rates on procedures are much better now than a few years ago."

My brother has a less severe case of this. The docs say he can play if he can handle the pain, or he can continue to rehab. But the chances that the pain will go away with rehab are slim. Basically he's not going to be 100% and he'll have to live with it.

Surgery isn't guaranteed to fix it, either.

I wonder if he's headed for the dreaded microfracture surgery since it's a cartiladge problem.

Sounds likely, if he's out for the season. A regular arthroscopy would have him back on the field in 2 weeks.

Depends though. I had a patellar tendon debridement in college from a basketball injury and I was out 6 months

I've seen Jenkins making plays on the ball in his short time here. Dont know what happened in college as I only saw one of their games. I suspect he wasnt thrown at much though.
