More confirmation that no team respects any offensive weapon we have outside of CD. Everyone in the world can see these glaring problems but our own GM.

Well yeah, I mean, aside from maybe Ferguson, we don't really have a lot of players to target.

Once again, this is why I have stated the past 2 seasons how this offense needs another legit WR threat to help this offense better function and take heat off of CeeDee. Jerry and this coaching staff have made it hard for this Cowboys team to beat good teams, including in the playoffs.

Well, yeah, and maybe in the offseason, they can sign one as a FA.

It doesn't help that Dak just zeros in on him and throws it to him regardless of if he's actually open or not. That's why the guy has like 20 targets a game.

The defense couldn't stop Detroit. The Cowboys are lucky Detroit didn't score more than 47.

Adding whoever you think is the best WR in the NFL to the Cowboys roster wouldn't have helped that.
Yes but, hopefully getting the other starting CB back, the best pass rusher, and best run defender (man that Maxi pick was a disaster), would help on that front.

It’s hard though for the offense to do anything when between the top 3 WRs, TE, and RBs, maybe 2 of those 5 belong as even starters in the NFL and only 1 is a threat.

My whole thing is this . Why draft Schoon round 2 and never target him . Why rotate Zeke into the run game when Dowdle ran effectively in Pittsburgh and caught a TD.

Other than Lamb you have 3 young receivers you can factor into the game plan . I dislike the entire offensive scheme . It lacks any imagination.

.....and yet Dak is supposed to be a miracle worker and perfect, with no room for error at his position, while everyone else is looking like Keystone Cops. C'mon Man!

I told you this so many times..

CeeDee is the MVP of this offense. The Packers had the personnel to take Lamb away and Dak sucked it up. He can’t go through his progressions. It’s the same thing that happened with Amari, but they called it “lack of interest”.

People acting like this is something unknown. Dak targeted Lamb over 180 times last year.
Part of the changes in the “bye week” was to target Lamb more via motion. They were getting a lot of man looks, but Dak can’t throw against zone and no teams are threatened by the run game.

AC.....Jefferson, Hill, it doesn't matter. Just pick one and put him opposite of CeeDee last week and the Cowboys still get their doors blown off.
Exactly..

Dak is the problem, as he’s an early read QB. The fundamental problem is the statement “taking away CeeDee” implies to many that they just need to add another WR. Lamb was targeted over 180 times last year. The Packers took away Lamb and they got their socks blown off. It’s like Slater reported, when Dak’s first read isn’t there, he panics. It’s always been the issue.

When Amari came, the numbers shot up in man, but Dak still blew chunks against zone. Lamb is now becoming Amari to the Dakazoids.

“He disappears. Dak and him aren’t on the same page. His head isn’t in it.”

Dak wasted an OL and RG for years…. The guy is a fraud..

When we had a premier OL, prime zeke, or Zeke & Pollard, teams, players, coaches went from "shut down" the run game and have Dak beat us mentality especially in the playoffs. We failed badly

Now we literally have the worst run game in football and have become so one dimensional with no scheme creativity that teams can just blanket the WR Corp with ease.

Teams were forcing Dak to step up and beat them with a great OL and Rbs and he went stale. Now there's even more pressure on Dak to perform. Recipe for disaster

Lowest rushing yards in the league, lowest rushing ypc(chiefs not much better), only team without a rush over 20yrds, and longest run of the season is 13 yards. Absolutely disgusting and sadly as bad as the OL has played we have been in the middle of the pack for RBWR. Just shows how bad the scheme and rb room is
Good post..

Even with, Dak couldn’t get it done, because thus requires the ability to go through progressions rapidly. Dam is slow as molasses, so the lack of the OL and RG is exposing Dak to how bad he really is.

The only way he could compensate is by breaking pocket and using athleticism to keep the play alive, but he lost whatever running ability to had.

How many potential picks has the opposing defense drop last week?

It’s comical when Dak fanboys tried to compare him to Lamar Jackson, because even though Lamar had a rocket and can fire it off on the flick of a wrist, he still had issues in regards to progressions.

The difference is though, Lamar’s legs are so unique, he’s a threat in the RG. He glides effortlessly on his feet, that defenses have to take it into account.

The only thing stopping Lamar is his ability to put it all together for a play-off run against other top QBs in the AFC. He and his team are right there on the brink.

Yeah you are right the D couldn't stop the Lions but I also gotta put some of that blame on the Dallas offense. When you have 11 drives during the game and over half of those drives are either 3 and out or 4 and out you are not giving your D much time to rest before they are right back on the field again. The longest drive of the day for Dallas was only 4 and a half minutes and that one ended in a Dak interception, not counting the longer Rush drive. Most of the drives were under two minutes and three of them were under a minute. When you look at those times you know your offense is sucking also.

Consistent theme from Jason Garrett to Mike McCarthy is how stale and predictable the offense has been. Opposing teams and players, as well as some in the media, have been telling us this for years. Kellen brought some creativity, but his biggest issue is he just calls plays to call plays, he has no real strategy or ability to adjust to what the defense is trying to do to him.

Jerry wanted a certain offensive scheme (Norv Turner 90s offense), and he only hires yes men with no real offensive identity or philosophy. This is the result of a coaching staff whose main priority is to appease an Owner slash pretend GM, who thinks he knows football, but truly has no clue what he's talking about either.

Even with Flacco, when he came in for Watson last year, Amari’s numbers shot up against man. Very few DBs can hang with guys like Amari and Lamb in man.
