Kevin Burnett - want your thoughts on him

I've never said D-Hall was better than Newman. Get your facts straight. As much as I'm on here, it shouldn't be too hard to figure that out.

Stats are about interpretation...and stats shouldn't be what you completely base your opinion on a player. However you mentioned that Burnett was a playmaker, so I had to go look it up, because I coudln't remember what plays he might've made

Burnett played every nickel snap for about 300 or so plays for the year. He only defended 2 passes.

How can anyone ever say he can cover after seeing how atrocious our coverage was on backs and TEs?

Neither Akin or Kevin are good enough to start on a SB winning team. Burnett can't play the run well enough because he's not big or strong enough. Akin is not much better at the run and is worse at pass defense although Burnett is not very good either.

Zack Thomas and James will take care of some of the problem. I hope we draft a big, fast ILB.

I think Kevin Burnett is a future Pro Bowl caliber LB if given a starting gig. Very fast and athletic and playmaker good in coverage.
