See, there you go. I'm getting old. They say the memory is the first to go.:D

No problem, didnt mean to come down on you. Just at work and bored.

But those were the days, Deion and Smith lined up. Chance for a turnover on almost every play.:star:

A much better 40 time than I expected from him, he helped himself with that workout...

Watch one of his highlight videos sometime, it brings back memories... running from the deep I, reading his blocks, slipping through the seam... I swear, it was like he's a taller Emmitt... but Emmitt wasn't this fast...

Now, I'm NOT saying that Kevin is better than Emmitt... I'm just saying their running styles are quite similar...

C'mon man, gotta know this :)

How long have you been watching Dallas?
I've been watching since 1960 my friend. Since the original post was about a RB, I thought the #26 may have been referring to Preston Pearson, an awsome 3rd down back we got from the Steelers in the '70's whose # was '26'. How stupid of me not to realize the post was about a CB from A&M in the '90's.

How long have you guys been watching the Cowboys?...

Real old timers ----it would be nice to be 17 or 28 or heck I would settle
for 39 ----Only if I know what I know now:laugh2: Both Smith and Pearson where fun to watch ---but the flags on Smith were not ALL DESERVED

Well the first 26 for the Cowboys was Buddy Dial DB back in the early 60's. But he wasn't nearly the player that Pearson or Smith was.

He was a very good player one time. But I thought of Preston first thing. Pearson was the first real 3rd down change of pace back and just had a knack for making first downs on third down.

Plus that's my number.

also, if you have questions as to whether the kid can carry the rock.............he ran the ball over 400 times this past season........that is flippin outrageous.

he was the UCF offense.....every defensive coordinator knew it. They stacked the box and still he went off in every game but one (South Florida).

he was the definition of a workhorse. I saw him play 3 times, once against my Longhorns......and it was very similar to watching Emmitt. He wasn't the fastest RB. However, he was patient, had great vision, was superb at finding even the slightest hole and squeezing through for a positive gain. He would carry the ball about 8 or 9 times in a row and just wear down the other team physically, as well as destroy their psyche.

Whoever drafts this kid will have a very nice RB on their hands.....and if they manage his carries properly, could have someone special for about 7-8 years (which would be an eternity for a RB).
