Just said on MNF Countdown that Vince Young is similar to Romo in that he has mobility but doesn't have the veteran Wide Receivers that Romo has.

I am a big Vince Young fan, but Romo is a much better player than Young and their game is not comparable.

Very odd comparison, IMHO...Romo has great touch and great poise....Vince Young also has a good head for knowing when the pocket is collapsing, MUCH better wheels than Tony, cannon of an arm compared to TR but not nearly the touch, IMHO.

I would agree that he's lacking in the receiver department, however.

I'd say that the only thing I could see being truly similar is that they're both exciting players...I STILL think VY is going to be special

Vince Young struggles against the blitz, Romo does not

Vince Young looks to scramble, Romo looks to scramble to throw the football

yes Romo has better targets, but it's more than that Key

Vince Young is a terrible quarterback. Really, he's just horrible. There's nothing at all similar other than they play for NFL teams.

Vince Young's career as a starter will last 4-5 years max.

Vince Young is a great athlete but a horrible QB. A bad comparison by Key.

I wouldn't say he is horrible. I figure as his athletic ability declines, his QB skills will increase. You also have to add the intagibles, and Young is a guy I would like to be in the huddle with.

Romo and Young are a bad comparison, when I saw Key say that, I was like, "why". Compare him to Randal, but not Romo.

Don't watch enough Tennessee but he looks to throw an accurate ball...And you can't tell me his WRs don't stink??...Horrible drop there

And his should have gotten intercepted by Bailey, Bailey dropped the ball.

wow. Key is really reaching on this one. Poor attempt to attach a QB to the Tony Romo bangwagon.

They aren't even close.

Romo is actually good throwing outside the pocket.

VY is terrible throwing outside the pocket.

Point and case was the Champ near INT on the Titans' opening drive.

Intangibles? How about throwing more TDs (4) instead of INTs (10)?

He's terrible and will likely never improve. His QB rating has actually gone down over his rookie season. I didn't think it was possible to do worse than a 66.7 QB rating. Most people could just randomly throw the ball in the air and do better than that.

:lmao2:

I love when people use the words NEVER and EVER.

Any descriptions giving someone ZERO chance is just funny whether its true or false.

Their is a desirious effort on the part of the media to see a QB like Vince Young succeed.

Yeah, I know what you are saying, but most people don't have the athletic ability of Young. I'm not a huge fan of QB ratings when it comes to winning, stats never tell the whole story.

Guess the real question is if you replaced Romo with Vince, what the results would be. That is something that has alot of variables, and hard to predict.

It's insulting to hear Young's name mentioned in connection with Romo.

Vince Young is awful.
