Yeah, I went to nfl stats and saw that as well so he has been so bad that it SEEMS he hasn't played. Also, starting a game and leaving after the first quarter with tight hammies isn';t the same as playing in every game. Just because he gets credited for playing in all 16 games doesn't mean he actually played all 16 games. Spin it however you like but he has been injured a lot since he got his paycheck. Do you honestly believe that we would all feel this way if he wasn't injured all the time. There has to be a kernel of truth for any story to grow and in this case that kernel is HUGE!

Yea, except that he DID play in all 16 games, and you don't rack up 1,000 yards on the season by playing 2 minutes in the first quarter of each game and then leaving for the rest.

Just say it.. you have no idea what you're talking about, but like to speak from your own personal bias you have against the player.

I've lost a ball in the lights and pulled a hamstring. Not much one can do once either one of those things happens. I really don't want to see Miles come back too soon and pull up lame the first time he tries to accelerate under game conditions.

I was a big supporter of Miles and couldn't wait for him to play when he had his break out year. I still hope for him to be a big part of our offense. So, if that is an agenda or bias or whatever then sure that is mine. I don't dislike him at all. What I don't like, in fact, I hate is that since he got paid he has been injured and unable to help this team a lot. That, good sir, is my agenda/bias.

Except that you've made several incorrect statements regarding Miles so far in this thread.

Just wanted to point out the bs.. and if you really aren't biased against him, then you are simply making uninformed statements about him.. which isn't much better, imo.

Unlike some stat junkies on this board, I can and do make my opinions based on how I feel when I watch my favorite team play on t.v. and find out Miles had pulled a hamstring .... again.. and won't be playing this quarter, half, game and we will have to put some other wr out their that doesn't have near the ability to help our team win. Don't spout that statistical b.s at me because I can't pull up exactly how many minutes he played versus how many games he technically started. I have a legitimate right to have my opinion as many other fans on this board and the media, as well, seem to agree with. More often than agree with your opinion, in this matter. Keep hiding behind "But he started all 16 games for us" if that makes you feel vindicated but the "facts" are that he has been M.I.A. for much of the time that we desperately needed and mostly for the same thing.

Also what several statements? Other than the "missing half the games" which I admitted was technically inaccurate, have I made. And I still contend that just because he technically started doesn't mean that he didn't spend much of those games on the riding bike trying to get his hammies back in playing shape.

Im not telling you not to have an opinion, im just telling you several statements you have made have been incorrect.

If that bothers you, maybe take the time to research the subject that you are going to be giving your opinions on.

The fact that you think statistics are bs tells me pretty much all i need to know.

..and i really couldn't care less if more people agree with you or i in this matter, because again, the FACT is that you don't rack up a 1,000 yard season spending most of your time on the bench.

I was ready to pull the trigger on the Boys today if Miles played. I can't stand this cupcake anymore.

OK.. if your going to go with exactness then you are inaccurate in this statement. He DID NOT have a 1000 yard season last year. http://www.nfl.com/player/milesaustin/2495801/profile He had 943. How's that for splitting hairs and using semantics. You are a very intelligent poster and most times I agree with you but your stance on this baffles me. We haven't been able to count on him... period. Much of the premise of our offense is "who are you going to double?" But with miles' injuries, he is often not in the game. As I stated before he is on the sideline riding a bike leaving other wr's to play in his spot who can be single covered allowing coverage to roll to Dez and Witten. When he is in the game he is not the same wr we fell in love with after his KC breakout season. When he is healthy, he is an amazing wr and every bit as fun to watch as Dez. But riddle me this wordman, when was the last time he was truly healthy? He should have had 1400 yards last year with coverage constantly being rolled to dez. Again, i respect most of your posts but on this issue, I disagree.

He had 943 yards.. i rounded that out to a 1,000 yard season.

If you are choosing to go this route of technical exactness, than i can simply modify my earlier statement:

"You don't rack up almost 1,000 yards on the season by spending most of your time on the bench."

He played in every game.. injured. That tells me he was fighting through his injuries to try and help the team.

That's not a guy im going to rag on and criticize as if he couldn't care less about playing football or his teammates.

Just now on ESPN. Keyshawn said Miles could play today but now that he got paid he is making business decisions. Chris Carter chimed in as well, shaking his head.

They are free to mock him for being a wimp or whatever, but that argument doesn't make any sense. If he didn't get paid he would be making "business decisions" to save his body for free agency. If they are going to be d-bags they can at least not act like blabbering idiots.

If he can't get on the field & when he does he's getting hurt he has no value to this team.

It's not his fault but it's time we move on from this guy if we can.

It's too bad all that restructuring has all but assured that he'll be on the team for another year.

I like the guy but he's completely unreliable

A WR can't play with a bad hamstring, period. This isn't a pain tolerance issue like a lot of injuries. So I don't see why people are hating Miles for it.

The fact that some of you defend Miles is simply, COMICAL!!!! You will never be taken serious again, EVER. The same people who are defending Miles, are probably the same people who defend JJ, and his operation of the team. But, just as with anything. There are always people on the wrong side of history. I don't know why I even get surprised any more at stuff like this. :)
