We're already stuck with an overpaid, over hyped Toad Hunter at QB and now the Boys are hanging their hats on one of these stiffs????????? Go to be a long season of " Missed it by just that much"!

“We like our guys”.
its a process. Ya know what really gets me? We are THE most valuable franchise in the world, and we never value a kicker, so much so, we are arrogant enuff to think we can just trot a guy out off the street to do the job and win us close games. Its asinine!! Why let a teenager drive the expensive car when we can have a steady trustworthy adult do the driving? Makes 0 sense. I would LUV to know what Will McClay and the "brain-trust" are thinking. We should have invested in a kicker late in the draft.

Dallas has had good kickers, This business of we like our own? yeah where is Zurline? We stayed with Dan Bailey for a few years until he started missing kicks then was released and has since been released yet again. Even under Jimmy we changed out kickers.

Valid, but in todays NFL teams really value kickers more because its a passing league and every point matters. Dan Bailey was a stud. Great kicker for us. We need to find us another guy like him. If a vet like Robbie Gould gets cut, I say we snag him. It can't hurt. We need to have confidence in the kicking game again. This is just ridiculous.

How may kickers were drafted this past season? Most kickers like NE kicker Nick Folk had problems with his kicks in Dallas and now is doing a good job. Kickers are only good as their last kick,

Its time we draft a guy. Rodrigo Blankenship in Indy was drafted . Hes been great. Why can't we do that?

May find a gem somewhere. So keep all options open. Bring in a few more. If they do not work out, then hit the waiver wire.
As when they get released from other teams, it will not be for a few weeks anyway.

They already had a few try out and ended up with Maher. At this point asking the cowboys to bring in more kickers is pointless. They are either incapable of finding anyone who can kick, or there isn't any out there.

I mean at this point if you were kicking FG's you would be calling Dallas saying Yo, i heard you need a new kicker.

One thing for sure, ya'll gonna wish Greg was back when the season started. Tried to tell ya'll , he may not have been the answer but he was def better then what was out there. But ya'lls said anyyyonnneee would be better the Greg. Well we got evvveerrryyyyoonnneeee. And none of them can kick.

Among the observations from Day 2, an update on the kicking competition. Brett Maher went 6-of-9 on field goal attempts, while Lirim Hajrullahu was just 4-of-9. Worth noting, though, is that both kickers were using the Chargers’ skinny uprights; several kicks from both men would have been good on a regulation goalpost.

its sad you have to explain this to people.

6-9 through the skinny uprights is pretty good. Probably all of them were good if it was a regulation goal post.

That's possible. Hopefully, Maher has improved his accuracy as it seemed like he did last season. Otherwise, I'm just bidding my time until Tampa foolishly cuts Borregales to keep the vet Succop.
