His injury history is reminiscent to Sean Lee. Tore his right acl in 2010 while he was suspended and injured his wrist in 2012. He was rehabbing hip surgery in 2014 when he tore his left acl.

Not sure about the wrist injury which could be problematic. Tougher joint. Unless there is nerve and/or vascular damage or all three ligaments are torn then generally this is uncomplicated. What kind of hip surgery?

I read labrum. So I guess a labral tear?

Of the two, Gordon's probably the better fit. If they're smart though, they'd wait a couple of rounds and grab David Johnson. I don't think he's better than Gurley or Gordon or some other RBs in this class, but I do think he fits the Eagles offense the best.

I was thinking that when someone earlier said hope they dont take Gurley. Gordon would seem to fit better with his running style in that system.

LOL. They still need a QB, a defense, a RB. Sproles is not the answer and is getting older. They aren't a scary team.

I said IF (big if) they cash in on free agency (with their +$40mill of cap space) and the draft, they could be scary.

With Desean Jackson gone, opposing teams could play more single high without the threat of getting beat over the top. The Eagles OL had alot of injuries that had them in disarray early on, but they still managed to have 11 games with over 100 yds rushing total. Those other 5 games they played tough defenses.

Kelly values speed but guys like McCoy have a rare talent. Why wasn't he used as a receiver more often and why even run a zone read with a QB that doesn't threaten your edges?

Kelly looks like media hype more than anything since he was brought to the NFL. This league is completely different than the college landscape and Kelly is looking like a coach that can only coach Oregon athletes.

I'm still puzzled but I'll be glad that we don't have to see McCoy anymore in the East.

Sean Lee breathes a sigh.

As a Cowboy fan I'm excited to know McCoy is no longer in the nfc east. Chip Kelly is truly ruining Philly and I love it. Bills with a few moves and hopefully a qb should have s legit shot at the playoffs.

Chip Kelly is rebuilding the Eagles to favor his style of play and system.

He is not real crazy about Nick Foles and with the huge amount of cap space the Eagles have I can certainly see Kelly selling the farm to move up in the draft to take Mariota. I believe Kelly has the intentions to use that cap space to atone for the resources they'll have to give up to get Mariota, which will be alot.

Of course, I could be wrong but ultimately there is little doubt that Kelly actually believes that his system will win him a Super Bowl.

I actually thought this was a good trade for them. Lesean is about to be extremely average for the next few years- they got rid of him right when he begins to decline.

There are a nunber of ways the eagles can approach free agency. They have an owner who is willig to spend. Realistically, the can get 4 REALLY good players. I can see Randall Cobb going there and thy resign Maclin- that goves them a scary good WR duo with a very good young player in Jordan Matthews.

If you have that talent on the outside with that speed, a ton of RBs can run easily. A RB seems to have no problem in that system.

A labral tear of the hip?? Yeah, that's possible. Generally that's just watched. If there is no loss of function or signs and symptoms you watch it. At times you have to scope it to either remove the loose body and/or shave the tear. More likely to be troublesome later in life if at all. Generally nothing even later on unless its huge.
