i also agree here felix jones doesn't move me at all how hard is it to come in and look good when you have a guy like DMAC killing the opposing defense all day long?

I think he's all speed and he wont be able to outrun every defender in the nfl like in college( ask reggie bush).

I think we trade up for one of the top dogs(dmac and mendenhall) or stay put get corner then wideout, and get a real compliment with speed and moves like charles from texas or johnson.

I can respect your desire for Johnson at RB though I know little about him, but to think he'll be drafted in the first round by anyone, especially by us at #22 is just crazy, imo.

I'd take Malcom Kelly...I'd also be happy with DeShaun Jackson late in round 1...he may not have the size to be be a future #1 WR, but if you've watched him play, he plays taller and makes some great catches...I think everyone was shocked at his height because he looks taller on the field...he knows how to run with the ball and is infinitely better than Ginn ever dreamed of being.

I also like Addington better than Manningham when you talk about Michigan receivers....that kid makes some incredible plays on the ball also.

I just don't see us tying up that much money in RB's...it makes no sense to me to resign Barber to star/first round type money and then pay another guy first round money to be his backup...I just don't think that's got any chance of happening.

I'd use both #1's to move up for Cromartie...period. Then I'd get a WR in round 2 and a backup RB in round 3 or 4.

I think it's hilarious that the Bengals are likely to draft Phillip Merling, who is essentially a Justin Smith clone.

I'm a huge Clemson fan, but Merling wishes he was a Justin Smith clone

he put up only 17 reps at the Combine, which doesn't bode well for him since his strong-suit is supposed to be his strength

No one really had him rated any higher than a 3rd round pick until Mayock just out of nowhere ranks him in his top 10. Then, bam, you've got a ton of copycats. Now the hype is dying back down because of his abysmal Combine showing.

I agree. I think we make only one exception for not drafting a corner first. That is if a WR of better value then our best ranked corner falls.

I watched Felix alot in college. Truth is, he is a great runner, and more importantly, an even better return guy. He was overshadowed a little in colelge by some other guy. My only issue with him is holding up running through the tackles, as oppossed to getting out wide. You can't do that in the NFL all the time. The good thing for us is that we have a good line to get him out past the line of scrimmage so he can make plays. His biggest value is in the return game though.

All that said, we are stupid if we take him before our second-rounder. We have to go CB or WR first. My personal preference is CB, but Jerruh doesn't consult me.

I do think that he is good value and brings alot as a second rounder though.

We may not take Felix and he may not go in rd 1, but his performance at the combine will not be the reason. He didn't wow scouts with a 4.3 40 time like McFadden or a 4.2 40 like Chris Johnson, but his work out numbers will still good.
