People forget that one of our big holes in TC was LB. When you're having to sign Durant during TC and then counting on him during the season you've got major problems!

We still don't know what Jaylon can do, and then Lee's body. Then we lose Hitch.....

I've said all offseason LB and speed on offense is our biggest needs.

Our LBs are atrocious. We need to completely overhaul that position.

Of course we do.

I just question spending the 19th pick in the draft for Evans who really is a projection in this scheme (MLB in 3-4) and has had some durability issues.

last year they drafted 3 CBs....with multiple picks in the mid-Rds,I wonder if they do that again...at LB.

no, I dont think Evans could be a big impact on this defense, this defense need Vea or Payne, cowboys could trade with bengals to pick Vea or ravens to pick Payne, that could be a much better option, and with the second or trade up in the third round to pick Josey Jewell LB, make this scenario and see how this defense exploits

what are your thoughts on Josey Jewell,Iowa?
if we dont go LB at 19,he is one Id like to get in the 3rd.
He's good. A tier below Smith, Edmunds and Evans. I would put Vander Esch, Shaun Dion Hamilton (only if healthy), Darius Leonard and Nick DeLuca in that tier with him.

I like DeLuca a ton.
Cichy from Wisconsin intrigues me....but I wouldnt touch him til the 7th.
Im becoming a fan of Darius Leonard.

Micah Kiser,Virginia at ILB intrigues me also...strong,good tackler.

Taking the 3rd best 4-3 LB with a top 20 pick should set off major alarms to everyone.
would also require Jerry and co. to be down on Jaylon Smith to draft someone who will be expected to start over him...don’t see that happening regardless of what the true story on Jaylon’s knee is

Not really. Many said WLB is Jaylon's best position, and lord knows he'll see plenty of snaps if he's Lee's back up. Taking Evans may make us better now and more prepared for life after Sean Lee

I think you are over reading it. Smith might be better suited for WILL eventually anyway.

Also this logic that you can’t take a player at 19 because he’s the third best at his position in the draft is peculiar to me.

In all my time of watching football I've never been so embarrassed for a player as I was Jaylon last year when he was forced into action. Wilbur, Wilson, Durant......

We need to sign a vet at linebacker.

Our LBs can not cover at all and I when Lee is out the whole unit falls at apart.

Dallas has to be thinking of trading up for Roquan or Edmunds imo.

3rd best prospect at a non premium position going in the top 20 doesn’t ring any alarms to you?
You’re entitled to your opinion, but there’s pretty much 0% chance Evans is a top 20 prospect in this class imo.

The draft is going to be tricky.

We are trying to build a defense, where we need DT, LB, and more help at DB......yet,
The only strength on offense is somewhat OL and RB. There are still questions, but QB is set for now until we know more.

We need OG starter; we need OT quality depth; we need WR's badly; whether or not we need another TE is up in the air due to not knowing what we have in Rico and Jarwin.

That's a lot of holes to have on both sides of the ball on a team many fans think is a contender with a great roster.

They need to go veteran(s) and draft pick(s).
