Just look at the posture of Quinn and Moore, the contrast. There is nothing wrong with Moore not being ready, McVay is the exception, not the rule. And have you ever seen any young coach get the cooperation from his front office that McVay has received?
People move and grow at their own pace and Moore strikes me as less than a Type A personality but as far as the football smarts, don't doubt him, he has that. He is creative but he has to have time for creative plays and he has to have execution of the plays. What if Cedric Wilson doesn't blow that throwback and they keep that drive alive instead of giving the ball back? Sure, it's just one play but execute it and that DC and D are on alert now and not sitting on everything so tight. It was a great call and poor execution.
If you are going to call Moore stupid and berate him when he has the #1 offense in yards and points in the league, I don't know what would make you happy. It's amusing that Quinn gets all of this love and his job was the simpler one, control Samuel and he failed but he gets high praise and Moore is the goat.
