no griping about the future at QB
thank you Romo, and more importantly, thanks Payton!

I'm happy with our prospect for a future starting QB. We will have to get Romo on board for a longer term deal after '07 but for now it looks good. We do need to get a young guy in to start developing behind him so we will have a backup for Romo after Bledsoe is gone.summerisfunner said:no griping about the future at QB

Dude!...Don't Do That!!thats7 said:Henson is the better of the two. Parcells couldn't critique the QB position if he had Aikman helping him.
Let's just look at his stats for a second compared to Romo's.
Had ya going didn't I?

That was my thought too but it's water under the bridge now.summerisfunner said:my idea was to have HEnson be that guy if he couldn't beat out ROmo, might as well had since we're going to be paying him regardless, but I digress

i really love the youth factor coupled with his mobility.
i mean..........how many qbs could have made that play thursday night when the ball was snapped over his head?
that was a great play.
HeavyHitta31 said:Just FYI, I have a massive agenda against Matt Baker. I hope he fails miserably and never takes an NFL snap.
Just thought I'd get that out in the open

Personally I hope he never completely loses that gunslinger style. It is part of what makes him good...it is that part of his makeup that allows him to make plays like the one with the high snap. Certainly he needs to tame that aspect of his makeup and control it but I don't want him to lose it. Staubach had that same aspect in his mentality and it was part of what made him great.summerisfunner said:the more I see of ROmo, the more I like him, and it coincides w/ him trying to be a gunslinger less and less
summerisfunner said:me too, he can't throw a 30-yard slant to save his life :

I don't think anything is a given at all yet. Right now, day 1 of the college season effectively, if I could have any player in college in the 2007 Draft I'd probably want Brady Quinn.
if Romo doesn't sign an extension, with Bledsoe past the mid 30's QB would be more important.HeavyHitta31 said:Adrian Peterson, no doubt about it. The man is the closest thing to Bo Jackson we will ever see
