I'm not condoning rape..it's just funny to see everyone hate on Kobe for that when some of their favorite players in every sport have likely done it as well.

And whoever called Kobe "selfish" is a joke. He's the best facilitator in the game.

I loved watching Michael Jordan play. Absolutely loved it. That doesnt change the fact that I think he is a complete POS off the court for cheating on his wife multiple times.

There's a lot of faults in people I'm willing to overlook, but adultery isnt one of them. If you are having marriage problems or are tired of your wife, be a man and work it out or get a divorce if it comes to that.

Athletes are the worst about stuff like that because they think their status as cultural icons puts them above morality and common decency.

I meant cheating, not rape (not that I condone rape, either). I think both are horrible things to do and would never consider doing. But criticizing Kobe for cheating and hating him for it while loving other athletes that cheated is hypocritical.

Bron will be gone by then. Start spreading the news....I am leaving today....I want to be a part of it...:laugh2:

He's staying in Cleveland. They will try everything they can to keep LeBron while adding a Bosh or Joe Johnson player.

Why is everybody so worried about Kobe's personal life?

It's obvious to anyone but his biggest haters that he didn't rape the girl in Colorado. So he's not a criminal.

Past that, I don't see how his marriage is anyone else's business but his own. Why do we need our pro athletes to be saints off the court?

Pigeon-holing him as a "scumbag" is as lazy as pigeon-holing Mrs. Bryant as a "gold-digger" for taking him back after receiving the $4 mil diamond ring.

Enjoy what he does on the court, but mind your own business when he steps off the court.

Kobe is a first-class d-bag. Most outside of LA hate him. The LA fans even admit they're fickle and just like him cuz he's good. I can't imagine anyone on Earth that enjoys his transparently fake personality. What a tool.

I think Lebron will go to the Heat or Clippers next season. Cleveland has had wayyyy too long to build a winner around him. They may have screwed up the Boozer deal, but there have been a multitude of other great moves that they could've made since then. Memphis was shopping Gasol forever before Jerry West orchestrated that shady deal. Richard Jefferson could've been had just this past season.

Either way...I'm glad that Kobe isn't a Cowboys fan. He represents the opposite of what I would hope most of our fans do. He's a *******.

Yeah I have an online Cavs show and I'm fortunate to talk to some of the players and I approached Lebron after Thursday's game and we ended up talking for about 10-15 minutes about the Cowboys and he's a HUGE fan!!! There's not too many Cowboys fans in Cleveland so I think he was happy to find one!!

He signed away his right to privacy when he became one of the most famous and highest paid athletes on the planet.

He's not your friend or your acquaintance, so you don't need to concern yourself with his off-court personality.

He's an amazing basketball player. That should be enough.

From many accounts I've read and heard, Emmitt Smith is a total jerk. He's still one of my favorite athletes ever.

Then by this token, you also have no right to compliment "wholesome" athletes who are exceptional people off the field

Being wealthy and famous brings with it public criticism of your personal life. If he doesnt like it, nothing is stopping him from walking away.

From morons who lead worthless, mundane lives and have nothing better to do than to stick their nose in the personal business of others.

And yet we have businesses, news corporations and television stations dedicated solely to monitoring the personal lives of the rich and famous. And almost all of them love it, except when something negative comes out. THEN they pull the privacy card.

Make no mistake about it, Kobe, Lebron, and almost every other professional athlete in this country is at least somewhat of an attention ***** at heart. Some are better at disguising it than others, but they all adore the limelight.

I know it's hard to believe, but there are some people who are fans of other teams and actually hate certain teams.

Kobe the accused rapist. Ha ha.

And after the rape trial he goes out and buys his wife a $5 million ring. And Shaq comments that Kobe "has to buy love." Classic putdown.

Its better than shaqs wife taking his money and buying her personal trainer a condo. Shaq "the big insecure lost"

What is harder to believe is that this thread is 8 pages long, and I just contributed to it.:abuseme:

I don't need to be his acquaintance or friend. If somebody is clearly a ******, than that's enough to not enjoy his play.

Plus, the guy threw his own teammates under the bus REPETITIVELY after voluntarily choosing to resign with the Lakers. On the court, he acted selfish and like an idiot for a couple seasons, so I'm actually not even taking this to his personal life. I could care less what he does on a regular basis. It's just clear that even his own teammates kinda hate him, so not sure why anyone else would want to come to his defense.
