Thoughts on Kris Richard and his process? I think we all know where this is going.

He needs to be the DC, effective now.

The BBDB scheme that Marinelli wants to use doesn't work with Richards 4-2-5.

I agree with yiu that there are too many voices on the defensive the ball. It looks to me like there's is a clear disconnect from one level to another.

And Old Man River needs to be put out to pasture. Enough of this farce and a guy that the game has passed by getting a free pass due to past accomplishments from 20 years ago.

Every decision that man has made for the past 5 years has been both completely wrong and terrible.

He absolutely needs to go.

There's absolutely zero excuse for this defense to be any sort of "work in progress". There aren't any significant number of new voices in the coaching, and there's not any significant numbers of new players on the field.

There's no reason why this defense should be the dysfunctional mess that it is, much less a "work in progress". Inexcusable.

The "work in progress" is because they have failed to assemble the talent to have a true contender defense.

So much this. The talent is not that great. When they send 8 to stop the run, they get beat by Sam Darnold. When they defend the pass, they get beat by Aaron Jones. They haven't done both since NO last year (not including games vs. terrible Washington teams0.
