He just might turn out to be the best assistant coach acquired under the Garrett regime. I know the sample size is rather small at this point but the difference in the secondary play and the defense overall is markedly better. The defensive backs actually turn around to locate the ball now. It seems like years since that has happened at that position. And you’ve got to love all the press coverage.

Our next D coordinator in the making. Let’s hope it comes to fruition.

Also was he calling plays. When the cameras cut to him doing the game, it looked like he had a call sheet in his hands and he was on the headphones and Marinelli did not have phones.

This was the second time I noticed this as in a preseason game I seen the same. Has anyone heard anything?

If we can get an OC that can have a similar impact, I’d actually be ok with Garrett sticking around for a bit.

See, but don't expect to "hear" anything.

I know it's only been 2weeks but he has the Defense playing with swagger, angry, and plain in simple they just look mean! I rallre wanted a Sean Peyton or Harbaugh type HC but I think we got our new HC already on the staff Boys!

I noticed the big change in Anthony Brown in particular he was getting his head around really well.

When we first signed him i was on the seahawks forums to see what they thought of losing him some said they would miss him ! alot said it was time since many made the comment they could not get off the field on third downs. Then i read Pete Carrol didn't particularly like his aggressive play calls.. But injuries played a lot into his units decline in year 3

WHATEVER ----- I like em here and i love the aggressiveness i have seen from him and marinelli great defensive tandem

This topic, and the obvious influence that a coach like Richard has, only reinforces my personal belief that the prior coaches and staff - and extension of the current head coach - is what is holding this team back. Just like the defense is showing, the player talent is there. It's only now that Richard is here that that talent is put to its best use.

Meanwhile, all of the coaches charged with coaching the offense - top to bottom - are failing in their responsibilities. Despite a team stocked with first round picks and Pro Bowlers, the Cowboys offense currently ranks 30th.

Yep.

Looks like a huge win for us.

Gotta wonder what transpired in Seattle that resulted in him leaving.
Seattle was losing defensive players to free agency and to injury. This put Pete Carroll on the hot seat. Richard was popular with the players as was their oc. So to cover his butt, Carroll released both and brought in New ones who would be less likely to be hired as his replacement should the hawks have a bad year. Same thing Mike tomlin Pittsburg did to Bruce arians
