How about this guy? He's only 32....groom him for your next DC for couple years and then HC.

Born: July 22, 1986 (age 32 years), Pittsburgh, PA

Height: 6′ 2″

Current team: Dallas Cowboys (#50 / Linebacker)

I would look at Ben Bloom. Did incredible job with LBs. But I not sure if he is fiery type coach. This defense responds better to in your face style coaching. Is one of fired HC a DC?

Let Lee work with Martinelli next year before taking over as DC.

thing is I have never heard Lee say he wants to continue as coach. And if he did I think its 50% chance its with Pitts because he is from that area and was steelers fan. Just exploring all possibilities.

He would be a good LB's coach, maybe DC.

I love Sean Lee and think he will make a great coach one day BUT we have to stop anointing people. I'd love to see him go be a LB coach in college, then work his way to NFL LB coach or college DC, and then an NFL DC, similar to Mike Vrabel's path. You have to learn how to follow before you can learn how to lead.

Remember Jerry actually tried this with Dat Nguyen but he didn't have what it take.

I rather go Ben Bloom first.

and then when Lee retires ask him to be the LB coach.

I would love that. Who would be your secondary coach?

They still have Greg Jackson in the secondary.
He came in a few years ago and replaced Henderson. He made a difference even back then. But they still had Baker.
But he was replaced with Richard.

Not sure if Ray Horton is still available, but if so, he could be a possibility. Many on here, including myself wanted him on the staff before they brought in Richard. Heck both would have been fine.
