I know that we don't know how this season will end, however, if things go south and Callahan is the scapegoat and is fired, what would you folks think if Kubiac was bought in as OC ?

I have no idea of any past ties with he and Jason.
I also don't know of what his relationship is with Jerry, if any.

I know he was considerd a great offensive mind at one time.

Hey it's a slow day here in the Zone, LOL !

I was thinking the same thing today. He would be one of the more qualified offensive coordinator candidates available. I'm not sure how I would feel about the move but I don't think I would hate it.

Not going to happen. He's still a great offensive mind. His offense just stinks this year.

He ran the offenses with shannahan. Dont know if that system would snyc up with what Garrett wants to do. Callahan is tough call. Offense has tougher time sustaining drives but the redzone production is WAY better.

If things go south I expect Opie to be going out the door with Callahan.

I am sick of this crap of everybody else getting fired to cover up the fact Garrett can't get it done .

Playoffs or gone......nothing else is acceptable for Garrett.

He's way better than Garrett but it's a totally different system, so no way it would happen.

Now if Jerry fired his boy and hired a defensive-oriented coach like Zimmer, you couldn't get a better OC for Tony's skills.
It's not that hard to be better than Garrett.

Play a couple of games of Madden and you got our offense down pat.

If the Cowboys win the division/make the playoffs (Neither of them are mutually exclusive), then Callahan and Garrett will both return, unless Garrett wants Callahan gone (depending on what you believe about the whole playcalling deal, who knows?). That said, I couldn't imagine Garrett allowing Kubiak to install a completely new offensive scheme when he wouldn't allow Callahan to do the same.

If the Cowboys don't win the division or make the playoffs, then either Garrett or Callahan is likely gone, if not both. If Callahan is the scapegoat, then the above would still apply, but if there's a new head coach in town (Lovie, perhaps?), then we'd need to speculate who that coach is likely to hire as his OC. Are there any potential head coaching candidates with ties to Kubiak? If not, are there any defensive-minded HC candidates looking for an established offensive coach to run that side of the ball (again, Lovie makes perfect sense -- Jerry loves him, he has ties to this defensive staff, has historically worked for cheap, etc.).

Let's say they make the playoffs and lose.

What's gonna be your constant theme next year?

Super Bowl or gone?

I agree. Romo was made for his offense. He must have a solid RB although, for it to work. I would like to try it.

lol, the guys on here who always want Garrett gone are funny. Just plain funny. Hey boys, if we win Monday we are 8-5. We currently lead the NFC East. Try enjoying the season.

We should be 13-0, damnit

Anything else is unexceptable. I, as a fan who contributes absolutely nothing to the actual team, demand MOAR!!

As I recall..thereby was a lot of things mentioned from the Cowboys good about Kubiak.

I think Jerry jones expressed interest in him, but it was clear that he was headed to Houston with a lot of cap space, a long-term deal and Dallas couldn't really be a player in his services.

Now..?

I'd quickly put him in as OC and let Callahan stay and work with Kubiak as OL coach or something.

I wonder how many other division-leading fan bases with injury riddled defensive lines are having this conversation about firing their HC and replacing him with Gary Kubiak.

I think it's about hiring him for OC, not HC, but either one would be equally stupid.

Reading some comments its almost like people would rather complain then enjoy success.
