Kevin Smith played from 1992-99. 1st round pick out of Texas A&M. He missed most of 1995 with an achilles injury suffered in the opener and had to retire with a back problem.

He was done after that

Actually he came back and played fairly well. Not the same as before but pretty good.

Yep. He did get a few too many PIs after coming back, but he was still a solid cover corner.

Definitely classy. I said it in another thread that I am really proud that he wears a star on his helmet and acted like that. No substitute for being a good person.

It's great when players can see real life instead of a sporting event. Kearse's concern for another person's well being over something like a division rivalry speaks to his character. Sadly there are players out there on every team that wouldn't do that. No matter what, it speaks of Kearse's character and also reflects well on the Cowboys.

For a brief, simple moment, it was powerful in my opinion.
