As most regular readers on this forum know, I have been hard on this front office for what I felt like was a lack of action in the free agent market last year.

I must say they have been really impressive with their in season free agent signings and trades.

Hankins
Peters
Hilton

All have all made impacts with their play as well as mentoring our younger players.

I am impressed with their team first mentality.

Hopefully these player can continue to contribute.

Again, props to the front office on a job well done !

I wish they would have done those moves much sooner. I also wished they would have signed Suh. He was there and him and Hankins would have fixed our run defense.

I also wish they would stop taking these bargain basement players like Washington. Shuster and Julio Jones was available when we need to fill that role.

It's been an awesome season and it looks like we might have a bright future.

I am very cautious about this. We have heard this since the very early Romo days. I hope it's true but we never have any sustained success we build on

They’re the best since Dak came back so yes, they’re the best.
sorry not #1 but yes vastly improved and top offense.. there's no middle ground with you, im agreeing they been playing great with room to improve like the INTs not on dak but on our WRs etc an dour OC , lets beat the team we face in the playoffs and have our offense really show out and we can talk about Best.,.

Agree 100%
We really don't utilize free agency as effectively as we should.

Now, if we can just stop drafting the Kelvin Josephs of the league and start drafting the Alim McNeils of the league. That one player would make us a top NFC super bowl contender.

Mcclay has done an overall great job with the draft.
The glaring weakness seems to be the second round.
At least we are not drafting injured projects like Smith anymore.

Actually, they have built off the 12 win season of last year to have a double digit win season this year and should a double digit win next year. They have the best record in the league over the last 2 years at 23 and 9 and are one of the best teams in the league.

It's great to see the Cowboys' FO is more pro-active in signing veteran free agent players, now. That was a much-needed change!

I disagree, I count 10 free agents that came to the team from other organizations and play an important role on the team. Watkins, Fowler, Kearse, Barr, Hooker, Alexander, Peters, Hilton, Maher, and Turpin. Then take their own free agents that they signed and you come up with a huge number.

Honestly, the only thing you can really bash them about is Tolbert. When they lost Gregory (not their choice) it didnt hurt us at all. They franchised Schultz this year as a stop gap which was a great move. They now have Ferguson and Hendershot waiting to take over with dirt cheap contracts.
They drafted a tackle that has been a starter all season and has been fantastic.... A+
Bland.... A+
Williams.... A

Thats 3 of your 1st 4 picks having immediate impact.
They got rid of a headache WR that was due to make 20 million because they said CeeDee was ready to be the number 1..... uhm, well yea, CeeDee is a legit number 1. With the deals we have coming up, getting rid of Cooper was a huge plus IMO, even though many on here will say that was a mistake.

So yea, kudos to the fo this year.

In Other notes the secondary is trash. Does the front office get credit for that too?
