Stop bringing in facts to this discussion.

No, a fact is that Holland didn't get his *** on the field until Thanksgiving. A fact is that a 5 year vet doesn't need three months to get mentally prepared to play.

Speculation is that his not being on the field was about poor personnel decisions.

The idea that Holland didn't play for so long, isn't really a stain on Holland. Holland wasn't playing most likely, because Garrett was clue-less. A report had Wade going to Houck to ask if Holland was actually ready to play, considering Proctor was just stinking up the joint. It was the same issue with the lack of using Felix and Choice from the perspective of Garrett. His inability to utilize Roy Williams, especially when he first came on board is another testimony to his 'genius'. The fact that Proctor was benched in the very last game to play Mc-quinistan shows more how inept with personnel Garrett was last year.

This is really weird, because I heard a report that Wade *didn't* got to Houck or ask if Holland was actually ready to play. I guess we'll never know what really happened.

You sit there and call me clueless when you are the one claiming "it was only a few weeks and he was starting?"

I said nothing about him starting right away. However, it shouldn't take a 5-year vet over three months to get ready. We acquired him August 28th. He started November 27th. If you don't see an issue there then you are too blind to see the clues all around.

You have no clue ho wlong it takes a linemen to get acclimated to a new system. You act like you do but you do not. They started preparing him to get ready within weeks of acquiring him. They dont give first team reps to someone unless they want him to start.

Then there is the whole issue of how our line play improved dramatically once Holland was in there.

I think Holland did an all-right job at G, considering how late he joined the team, and how he never really had any offseason paractice reps with Dallas. With Holland able to back-up at G, Dallas can finally use Proctor to back-up at C, and the new draft pick (Robert Brewster) was obviously drafted to back-up at T. So all in all, the OL stands to shape up nicely with all of these backups being able to work a whole offesaon at their primary positions.

And you act like a clue to hide the fact that you don't. Our line play DID improve when he was inserted. But that clearly does not make up for the fact that it took him until Thanksgiving to be ready. Oh wait... to you that is just "a few weeks"

That they were prepping him quickly is irrelevant - he was acquired in August, of course they are going to be working hard to prep him otherwise he wouldn't be ready if needed. Of course he was getting 1st team snaps -- he was acquired to b/c we expected he should beat out Proctor. That it took him so freaking long is the issue that you fail to grasp.

Sorry, nothing stands in shape nicely with Proctor...

I'd rather have Kosier starting. He's the "brains" of the OL since Gurode is dumb as rocks.
he may be dumb as rocks but he'll block his *** off.
