Love Pitts but it Parons, Fairley, or Surtain are on the board that’s where I’m going.

Hes better than Parsons. Dudes be like bpa bpa until its a tight end top 5

the argument has literally always been BPA (at a position of need ).

same kinda deal with dalvin cook. It’s not JUST not TE. it’s TE with the roster as it’s constructed. I wouldn’t take Kelce there on a rookie contract.

I'm all about getting as many playmakers as you can. If a TE happens to be the best one when we pick then take him. We'll figure out the rest later. It's simple.

I watched Pitts against the #1 team in the nation (basically an NFL team) and he was a man amongst boys.

Every team says they want to take the best player available, but many usually take the best player available at a need position. In theory, if you keep on drafting the best players over less valued at need positions you will improve your team much quicker. It's very possible Pitts will be the top player on their board at the time of their pick, he is a legitimate, blue chip prospect. I tend to think they would take a lesser player due to the bigger need.

I take Pitts without a second thought. I'll find a way to move Amari once it's feasible under the cap, but no way would I pass on Pitts

There's not a defensive player that will impact the defense more than Pitts will impact the offense.
Plus, You have more than a first round pick to address defense. There are no elite defenders in this draft so you might as well draft them 2nd round and later.

Just envision Pitts in our offense. We all expected Jarwin prior to the season to see single coverage on a consistent basis, due to the other weapons we have within the offense. Pitts would be a nightmare matchup for opposing teams and could really be impactful with our redzone offense. If he's on the board when the team picks, it's going to be awful hard not to draft him.

I’m sure there’s a handful but it’s not the prevailing sentiment here at all.

Tried to take a look at some of the SEC corners today, anytime a Florida game came up, all I saw was Kyle Pitts dominating no matter the opponent. This is arguably the best conference in college football. Not sure if we even need him, nor will he be available, but in my opinion, he is going to be a nightmare matchup and a very special player in the NFL!

5 games to go, where our draft slotting is still very much up in the air. However, if they fail to win the division, I strongly believe they will earn a top 10 selection.

Several years ago, the last time they had a top 10 pick, I remember Stephen Jones, state: we don't normally pick this high, we are not going to draft based on need, but rather take the best player available.

In my opinion, there are just two blue chip non-QB prospects in this upcoming draft: Sewell, and Kyle Pitts.

Pitts is a matchup nightmare, a so called chess piece. The SEC, which is one of if not the best College Football Conferences, have no idea how to stop him. Too fast for linebackers, too big for safeties. Many have been calling for a modern, athletic TE, Pitts certainly fits the bill.

For the people that will comment about need, what if you need for certain that a TE available at the Cowboys 1st round pick would be equivalent to Gronk?

My question is not related the the specific player Kyle Pitts.

I'm asking about need vs talent.

no way we pass on him if he falls to us and that is unlikely now tbh.

We say this every year, the most successful way to draft is to take the best player available no matter the position. Of coarse, they are some exceptions to the rule. The more good players a team accumulates, the better the roster becomes. Teams get in trouble reaching to fill a need.
