i didnt say they were a acedmic powerhouse. u said all that. i was pointing out to u that fresnos athletes are put on strict acedemic guidelines. as opposed to athletes in ohio state . where in ohio state the players cant even read, but are paid to play on the team. dont know much about michigan havent heard anything.

ur the one who went into that other stuff. i was talking about athletes

nd u made yourself look stupid as u were trying to argue a case iwasnt even bringing up. ohio state athletes dont even graduate. fresno states football? 75 % have a 3.5 GPA. and the graduation rate is close to 70%. which is pretty high for student athletes

And it was made clear the data you present could just as easily reflect having seriously easy classes. Also, tiny #s of Fresno players are NFL bound compared to the others -- so you will see higher grad rates because few stop going to classes after the season.

I provided Ohio as an example of another academically strong school. You made yourself look stupid by failing to understand that.

Only DBs, WRs and RBs need to worry about 40 times. With everyone else its the shuttle and things like that that are more important.

QB's too that way we know how fast they can avoid a pass rusher

says people like u. i'd like to see on draft day. im guessing u dont know the acedemic standards for fresno states football program. pat hill is strict. and only stanfords standards are higher on the westcoast. 30 scouts to see him perform? does that show you late day 2 attention? and no it wasnt for paul williams, marcus mccauley either. they did weigh ins, and thats it. seems like u see somebody post that and u repeat it. 30 scouts viewing 1 guy shows theres alot of interest

Young returned looking bigger, but not necessarily better. He measured in at 6 feet, 5 inches and 353 pounds -- 23 pounds heavier than his listed playing weight.

He did look stronger -- bench-pressing 225 pounds 23 times (about midrange compared to the marks set by linemen at the NFL combine).

He also looked slower -- unofficially running the 40-yard dash at 5.57 on one run.

No one is quite sure where Young will go in the draft, with opinions ranging from an early, second-day selection to an undrafted free agent. His absence from the NFL combine raised more flags about getting drafted.

Young, meanwhile, said he is trying to move on from his suspension, which was issued after the center stopped attending class during the fall semester and failed to maintain a passing grade-point average.

Interesting blurbs. I'd certainly look elsewhere.

I thought for sure that said 33 reps when I glanced at it.

That's horrendous.

Quinn did 24.

Cutler did 27 last year.

Leonard did 28.

Houston did 27.

Booker did 24 at 191.

Weak, fat, lazy, dumb with poor work ethic and judgment.

Where do we sign up for that?

Hey now, what other player can claim his reps outscored his SAT?

I'm not that fat, but I still don't show skin... you will never, ever find me in a pair of shorts, unless I'm just hangin' around the house that day...

A bout with polio when I was three left me with some REALLY ugly legs... but hey, I was fortunate that's all it left me with, the docs at the Medical Center of Virginia down in Richmond apparently did a brilliant job of breaking the fever before it could cripple me...

I can tell you that my earliest, clear memory is getting a spinal tap when the folks took me in to the hospital... NOT a pleasant memory, if any doctor ever tries to give me another spinal tap, he'd best either knock me out first, or bring in a half dozen real big orderlies...

Uhhhh, it was still crippling a lot of people, putting a few people in iron lungs, in the mid 50s, which is when I came down with it...

They didn't start the sugar cube vaccine program for kids until a few years after that, I reckon I might have been about 10...

Yeah, I got off REAL lucky... the only real long-term effect I have is a pair of knees only an orthopedist could love...

And who knows, maybe my teenaged obsession with sports was a compensation for my fight with that disease... if that's the case, something good ultimately came out of it...

:laugh2: I can imagine you fighting off 6 dudes

If they're tryin' to hold me down for another spinal tap, some of 'em will get hurt... LOL...
