Kyler Murray?

He could have fallen if there was still question about which sport he's playing.

Now that he announced he's going football, he'll get drafted high in the first round.
fallen sure but he has right to not sign and go back to MLB and later be rentered in a draft or as a FA years from now if BB failed..he was NOT going to sign for anything outside the top 10 -15 where his money got effected..

Haven't seen you in a hot minute...
Just me, or you've been incognito?

Been working a lot

Id take him in a heartbeat. And see what value we can receive for Dak or keep him as a backup.

Wonder what we could get for Dak?
And what if he is disappointed in falling so far in the draft and decides to play baseball? After all, just 2 months ago he was saying he was going to play baseball over football, and then he flip flopped a month later.

The only thing that makes me intrigued by Kyler is Baker Mayfield's success in the NFL this year.

Could Lincoln Riley have a QB farm up there in Oklahoma?

What do you gamble to acquire him? Next year's first round and all the rest of this year's picks...like a Ditka trade?

Good question . I wouldnt give up more than next years 1st. Maybe a later round pick next year and this year.

Part of it would be dangling Dak out there to see what we could get for him which I suspect isn’t much.

This Cowboys offense is a prolific passing QB away from becoming a top 10 offense especially with our dominating running game and potential receiving corp.

A top 10 offense coupled with our emerging top 10 defense elevated the Cowboys to serious contenders.

If we pick him then these boards will act like Dak is the GOAT.
This board isn’t always a good reflection on the pulse of Cowboys Nation. I don’t think this board is full of all Cowboy fans.

And if the attacks on Romo and Dak are any indication I’d say many on these boards create agendas to spend their time and troll with nothing more than their personal entertainment in mind.

It’s always tough to measure with an anonymous setting but that’s my instinct after spending over 10 years on boards like this unlike Cowboy Facebook forums where your indentity is not hidden.

The media creates the agendas and like puppets a lot of Cowboys fans not just on these boards but fans in general dance for those agendas. This is just my experiences both on and off these boards.

Good question and a possibility. But in this mornings paper which we aren’t allowed to copy here he says football is his first passion. And I imagine if he goes in 1st round which he is expected to go he will forgo his MLB although he hadn’t totally ruled out playing 2 sports which a QB has never done.

And if he was to end up at home here in Dallas I’d imagine he’d be willing to give that up if necessary.

I’ve been following him since his sophomore year at Allen. The kid is a freak of nature and winner. His size is a concern in the NFL but not his talent. If he could make the transition he’d immediately upgrade our offense. I think it’s worth the risk but then I don’t see us winning championships without an elite passing QB. I’d keep pursuing until we find one and the draft is the best place to gamble.

I fully expect to see Murray go in the middle to late 1st rd of the draft. I don't see him in a Cowboys uniform

If he goes 1st round, whicjim sure he will, that’s a different scenario. For the Cowboys to have a chance he would have to slip well into the 2nd round.

I would prefer a QB taller than Prescott at 6'2" and a true pocket passer to a dual threat or short one. Yes, Brees and Wilson are great but they're exceptions, Murray is too dependent on his athleticism and moving around in the backfield and what he did at OU was against Big 12 defenses.

It's a moot question because he's not lasting until the 2nd unless it leaks out he's bending toward MLB and as of yesterday, he was selling hard that he would be totally committed to football because no team will allow him to play both unless they're really desperate.

If the NYG take him, he would be a very interesting wildcat QB in that offense.

Unless we’re willing to give up #1 next year and probably more.
