This has to be one of the dumbest threads I have ever seen, not so much by the content but by the way it was approached and some of the responses....

Agreed............

Okay, for one: I did not START the insults...I was insulted. Now I am willing to forget all this and speak to you as another respected Cowboy fan...is that okay with you? ;)

Fine, its not as fun, and I am sure not as entertaining for others, but if you want to take that joy away from everyone....far be it from me to stop you...

If you want to know what I think about the subject:

LT could have played, but I think his knee was worse than he thought during the week and with people hitting it, it may not have held up and he probably would have/ did have big problems cutting. I think after those first two plays, Norv decided that a 100% Turner would be better than an unknown LT. Maybe not the right decision but I can see his thinking and wouldnt argue as good as Turner has been great all season. I don't think there is any way it was LTs decision to sit on the bench and if it was it was becuase he could not run or cut. I highly doubt it would have mattered if it was LT or Turner, with his injury Im going to guess LT = Turner.

This of course is almost all speculation but I think it makes more since then some of the LTs was scared or LT does not have heart, arguments.

Ok L.T. was hurt we got it..

What made me upset was that he just sat there with his tinted visor and didnt provide supporting words to his teamates. He also did not greet the media and let them know what was going on. L.T. is my favorite running back and I was really dissapointed. I mean, he could atleast be a decoy. He is a threat and if his number is on the field, a defender will be on him, freeing up someone else to make a play.

Burger King was on cowherd and said this:" IF Turner is 100% and LT is 80%, you play turner".

No question about it IMO. I woulda had Volek in there too - of course, admittedly, I'm not a big P. Rivers fan.

With a hurt shoulder, Emmitt could still run and cut. The pain came when he was tackled and hit the ground. His injury didn't prevent him from being an effective runner. The challenge was withstanding the pain of being tackled. Few running backs could have handled it. If LT has a bad knee, he loses his speed and elusiveness. He can't effectively run the ball in that situation. With a good backup in Turner, it was the right call.

Yes I do recall Emmitt playing the Giants with a separated shoulder...do you recall who Emmitts backup was that year???? Do you know who LTs back up is??? That might have something to do with it, but you appear to ignorant to think about the situation. Touched a nerve?? Yeah I guess stupid threads and stupid posts made by people that don't really know what they are talking about is a nerve...

Don't come on here spewing crap and not expect to get called on it.

Thanks for the complements???? 5 years old sounds about right.

Not to mention that you can run with a bump shoulder. You can't run with a bump knee.

This is about as silly as it gets - even for these parts...

Personally, I have to give LT enough credit and the benefit of the doubt to know exactly what he and is not capable of doing with such an injury. The man is a respected professional athlete.

Tomlinson, during his career, has proven to be a great competitor. He's a gamer. I believe he would go if his body would allow him to do so.

The talking heads who would question LT's heart in this situation really amaze me.

He was hurt, he tried to play, and he wasn't any good. it is only a "coach's decision" because LT would not have come out otherwise.

And Turner decided to not let him play any longer because it would not have benefited the team in the condition he was in. How hard is that to understand?
