Do you not recall Emmitt playing the Giants with a seperated shoulder? That's what I was referring to...sounds like I touched a nerve there.
You don't see the differnce between a shoulder and a knee for a running back?

The way LT was so angry at the Pats after last year's loss, I'm sure he'd have done anything to play against them. But if you're injured, sometimes you just can't.

Yeah, I understand...but he was supposed to be 95% and a go for the game. I didn't see a clear injury, just him sitting there. I actually thought they were preserving him for the second half at the time. I never heard much of an explanation either, nor anyone talking about it. That's why I questioned this...

What does the backup have to do with anything...

Really? Think about it just a little bit....

And as for why I am "attacking" you, I just think it is so ridiculous to compare Emmitt's injury to LT, I think it is absurd to believe that LT should have just ran out on the field and played even when the coaches told him not to, and I think its pretty ignorant to question one of, if not the best, running back in the league and his desire to play, you could tell it was killing him to sit there...but you seem to think this is all appropriate and logical reasoning.

LT is taking a serious beating in the Press, Radio and the Internet.

Michael Wilbon even wrote a very unflattering article entitled "L.T. takes a knee in loss to Patriots".

LT stated that he felt he was actually hindering his team by being on the field. He further stated that his knee felt fine up until he started being hit by opposing defenders.

Folks, nobody wanted LT to be out there more than LT. He has do a very delicate balancing act of putting his health first and while doing so, trying to think of the team.

This very story is a by-product of Free Agency. No longer are players forced to put their entire career and in some instances, their lives in danger for the good of the team. If he was unhealthy and a detriment to his team by being out there, I don't have a problem with his decision.

Okay Einstein, I wasn't comparing LT's injury to Emmitt's I was comparing his heart. If you think my questions/comments are so absurd, then why do you even post back with all of you're negativity? Are you truly a Packer fan whse taking out anger on fellow members of this forum?

I'm trying to figure out if your really an immature little brat or an old fart who wants to continually stir the pot...maybe your just in the middle somewhere. As you said, I'm just to "ignorant" to know for sure...

Enough of this...good grief.

He was hurt, he tried to play, and he wasn't any good. it is only a "coach's decision" because LT would not have come out otherwise.

:hammer:

A co-worker today tried to say the samething and suffice it to say, I responded the same exact way you did.

There is absolutely no way in hell a coach is going keep a player of the caliber of LT out of a game of this magnitude if he indeed feels he can go.

Haven't read the whole thread but....................Emmitt played in the playoff game against the giants, with a dislocated shoulder, the entire second half. Coaches told him to stay out only to turn around and find Emmitt in the huddle. They didn't slow down on the run calls either.

No, I am a Cowboy's fan through and through; however, I may indeed be taking out my lingering anger on fellow members, or at least those that annoy me.

I would try to figure out what the backup has to do with your question before you tackle this one.

How can you compare their hearts without making the comparison to their injuries? Each injury is different and can effect their performance differently. Emmitt may not have been able to go if he had the exact same injury as LT. And in most cases, it is difficult to have the same exact injury. An ankle sprain for one person is not the same for another.

A guy with heart like Emmitt can carry the ball with one arm while the other arm is limited due to a separated shoulder. I think most backs, no matter the size of their heart are going to have a difficult time being on the field when they hurt their knee. It is just a difficult comparison to make especially given that we as fans are not given the full story of just how serious or not serious the injury to LT.

Actually if I am remembering correct it was not a playoff game but the last game of the season right? And I never heard that the coaches told him to stay out, he didnt just sneak on to the field.

Yes...I have been unsuccessful in finding a complete explanation on the injury...there should be an MRI today or soon it would seem.

That's the thing...we've all heard different stories and come up with our different opinions. I've heard this as well.

Ah refreshing, personal attacks based on absolutely nothing...

where did I go to school...I would be happy to tell you if you want to PM me or if you had asked not just to try and insult...the answer would probably not be what your looking for if you are wanting to continue these personal attacks based on my education though :)

Nah Crayton is my avatar becuase he quit, notice the Q across his Jersey, as in Quitter, thought it was kind of funny. And if you want to use the search function you may find where I have repeatedly expressed a desire for him to SHUT HIS MOUTH!!!! AHHHH CRAYTON!!!!!! Still makes me a little peeved, but Im getting over it.

As for my GIJoes, I have not played with those in AT LEAST three weeks!!!

Okay, for one: I did not START the insults...I was insulted. Now I am willing to forget all this and speak to you as another respected Cowboy fan...is that okay with you? ;)
