I stopped reading at the implication we would be 3 and 14 without this bum as our quarterback
We might be. This team quits fairly easily.I stopped reading at the implication we would be 3 and 14 without this bum as our quarterback
Yup easy decision for them because of their situationThe Houston Texans went from worst to a contender in 12 months...how did this happen? Your first 3 points, is how. It isn't rocket science yet way too many fans are in love with the status quo
What does All Pro have to do with anything? We got roasted yesterday by a team that didn't have nearly the talent we did or as many all pros. Not simple
But the chances of near-term success is greater to take this path
How many all pros are on this team?
Just saying you don’t rebuild because you have a core set of talentWhat does All Pro have to do with anything? We got roasted yesterday by a team that didn't have nearly the talent we did or as many all pros.
People thinking we can just tweak what we have and it will give us a great shot must have become Cowboys fans yesterday. Because we've been playing the tweak game for 5-7 years now. It's not working.
Panthers are screwed by their owner, nobody else. The Bears? Trending upwards I would sayYup easy decision for them because of their situation
How are the panthers and bears looking to you? Want that?
But you have confidence in the GM to tweak the roster to make it better despite the fact he's been tweaking for 5+ years and the results are the same?Just saying you don’t rebuild because you have a core set of talent
You have confidence this GM can lead a total rebuild and get us to the NFC championship within 3 years?
Man I don’t
Cough, coughPanthers are screwed by their owner, nobody else. The Bears? Trending upwards I would say
Oh, and of course they kind of brought in a brilliant HC and it is safe to say they hit the jackpot in their draft last year...case in point the Panthers who have failed miserably yeaer after year and have nothing in the draft to show for it this year. Please do not bring up the Panters to this discussion, they are the class clown of the NFLYup easy decision for them because of their situation

lol. You have summed up the ethos of this ownership after Jimmy was let go. Too scared to make a change, too scared to try and win. The definition of insanity. Nothing will change until this culture of entitlement gets flushed. You guys are cracking me up.
Name me one time in NFL history or even sports history any of the following has happened to a team that has won 70 percent of their regular season games each of the past three years.
1. ‘Blow it up’ and rebuild. The silliest suggestion of all. Jerry would have to be a complete dumb a** to do that. You want to go 3-14 next year and have four years of losing seasons and have a 50 percent chance of finding a good starting qb?
2. Release or trade the All Pro QB who led the league in TD passes. Yeah he sucked against GB and hasn’t delivered in the playoffs, but it ain’t happening. Too big of a risk that you will end up without a serviceable QB.
3. Fire the coach. This one isn’t as silly because of the way the team played vs expectations and how embarrassing it was. But it ain’t happening either.
The only move a top GM would consider would be #3. The other two are reckless and would be poor decisions given all the factors.
It's both comical and mindnumbing that we have fans that think, after mountains of evidence to the contrary, that we can just tweak this or that and boom, fixed.Doing the same thing over and over again with the same personnel is not going to change things. Frankly I don't care if we have a few losing seasons as long as it looks like we're going in the right direction. We are completely stuck in the middle. We aren't winning anything with McCarthy, Quinn and Dak. Of course the real reason we won't win is because of our GM and the dysfunctional organization that he sets but we know that won't change. So try something different and see if we get lucky that way.
I agree with you, the problem is the Cowboys don't have a Top GM, they have an owner that thinks he knows football better than any coach and won't hire a GM, let alone a Top GM.You guys are cracking me up.

Marty Schottenheimer won 73% from 2004-2006 in San Diego. 2 playoff appearances. Went 14-2 the last season and was fired. It happens. You guys are cracking me up.

You speak nothing but the truth. Sad thing is none of this will happen. Everyone will get a pay raise and we will be told that we will get em next time.Anyone who can't see that the core of this team is rotten after yesterday is willfully blind.
How many all pros? Not nearly enough to even win a wildcard game.
8 years, 1 playoff win. The book on Dak Prescott is already written. Giving him a bunch more $ as he goes into his declining years isn't going to change anything but the 27 to 28, then 29, then 30, etc.
The only solution for this mess is a new GM, ditching Dak, and salvaging draft picks for the higher paid players. Trading Micah the Magician might even be the prudent thing to do, given yet another awesome disappearing act from him yesterday.
How about the chiefs, Niners, eagles, Texans?Yup easy decision for them because of their situation
