Not that Marty B is great or anything, cuz we know he isn't. But I feel that he is an excellent blocker at times, and if he used to help on Pierre Paul that could be a HUGE upgrade from last game, since he was injured. I remember Witten and Phillips getting mishandled a few times

The big difference with Marty available is the ability to run outside because he is such a dominating blocker at the edge. This is especially true when both Fiammetta and him are in the lineup. Fiammetta has been just a tich off in his blocking since his return but hopefully he has got the rust out of his system.

We are going to need him to stay in and chip on JPP. Bigtime Free needs help.

Bennett wouldn't have made a difference IMO. JPP is just one of the guys who is just unblockable

We may have converted on that final drive. Fiammetta was just tossed aside by JPP on that 2nd and 5 play. Bennett would have had a much better shot at slowing down JPP's penetration and shielding Felix from him.

He is really a great blocker on the edge when you are trying to run to the outside. He can drive block like an OT and is great at sealing guys inside.

I think we are going to try and run the ball a fair bit against NY. Bennett, Fiammetta and Felix need to bring their A games for us to have a chance. It is a damn shame that Murray is hurt because I would have liked to run the ball 35 times tomorrow and that is too much for Felix. It may even be too much for Felix/Morris. However, 20 for Murray and 15 for Felix would have been ideal in such a game.

However, as help to free to slow down JPP he would be affective.

....Free might have his "moments with JPP, but a year from now after flip flopping our tackles........I'll place my chances....especiallly after Tyrone has a year of expeir and a year under Woicek.

Let's not get carried away... JPP is alright, but he ain't as good as they say or you seem to think.

Alright? :laugh2:

Dude is one of the best pass rushers in the game. He's basically DeMarcus Ware 2.0

Nobody is "unblockable". C'mon dude.

There's plenty of people who are unblockable.

DeMarcus Ware
Jason Pierre Paul
Jared Allen
Ndamukong Suh

List goes on and on. By unblockeable I mean you can't block Em with 1 guy.

Marty is VERY important to this team....whatever people might think of him, he is definately the next best TE on this team to Witten and his blocking is sorely missed when he isn't there.
