No real need for the guy who was leading in receiving through 3 games last year? I'd say, yes, there is a need. Not sure the fascination people have here for scrubs like Jackson that you can find on any practice squad.

Dunbar is a scatback, someone you can line up on the outside and obviously knows the route trees well in this system. If he's healthy, I see no reason to keep him off the 53.

It's funny just how quickly people forget that Dunbar was probably the best player on the last year.

He had 70 yards receiving in game 1, 45 in game 2, and 100 in game 3.

Odd man out bruh. Darius is pushing him further down the depth chart.

Maybe so. Im fine with that if Darius is as good as this board seems to think. Also expecting Zeke to be real good catching the ball. Dunar wouldnt even be in the discussion of being cut if he was even half way durable though.

The bolded is the reason why i think they took Jackson, Dunbar is has way too many injuries to the lower body, his only 16 game season was the year we had demarco who hardly came off the field.

Before getting injured, Linehan was finding ways to get Dunbar the ball in space and boy did he repay Linehan's faith in him. Dunbar was explosive in that Giants game and the Eagles game.

I think once he is healthy they will find a way to keep him. This offense can really be something special if they stay healthy and Linehan's finds ways to get his playmakers in the best position to succeed.

Whitehead is gEtting those catches now, mostly jet screens out of backfield.

Dallas might have the #1 offense in the NFL this year !!! Could be the year of the 4 Horsemen !!!

Dunbar ain't going nowhere if he comes back as himself (Garrett-ism). Jerry is loyal and so is Garrett.

We have a real problem. Zeke, Al, DMC, Dunbar and Darious....

I don't want to get rid of any of them. I look at the giants and eagles RBS and these guys are as good or better than their 1s.

We have to trade whoever the odd man out is and get something decent. Have to...

I think they keep 4, but needs at de may make it tough. Darious is the odd man out.

I think we either cut the FB to keep 5 RBs or we get a draft pick back for DMC and save some money on his salary.

I like Dunbar but to me its no so much Dunbar as the threat of Dunbar. This offense will be able to run down your throat. Or lob the ball to Dez.. down your throat. Or dump off to Witten down your throat.

You add the Dunbar trick plays where you can hit a 50 yard pass to a RB isolated on a LB - and you have made Zeke, Dez and Witten even better.

The UDFA rookie hasn't shown enough yet. Dunbar will be on the 53 or PUP/IR. There is no one on the team like Dunbar. He just has to be ready to go.

Dunbar is a major mismatch.

You bring him in and the defense comes out with a linebacker. You can easily shift him out of the backfield, and when he becomes a receiver he has a huge advantage. Not many linebackers are going to be able to stay with him.

I'd like to see some formations with him and Elliott in at the same time. Would definitely make it difficult for teams to stack the line in fear of that pass to Dunbar in the flats.

The way I see it we are only keeping 4 running backs on the 53. Zeke and Morris are locks that leaves 2 spots for 3 backs. Dunbar and McFadden have injury histories, Mcfadden is still on pup. Hard to believe they keep both injury prone guys so in going to say Jackson makes it. That leaves 1 spot for Dunbar and McFadden.....Dunbar is much more dangerous in the passing game and 2 minute drill plus plays special teams. I think McFadden is odd man out.

Our 4 backs are

Zeke
Morris
Jackson
Dunbar

Yes, I would even say he was very good but, he can't stay healthy and is just too brittle to play in the NFL. I wish the 53 man squad would expand but, we can't
keep everyone and it makes no sense to keep RB's who keep getting hurt. RB's by nature have to take loads of punishment and Dunbar's body type just
can't.

I think he's gone. No real need for him
I agree. His value now, unless Zeke goes down, would be a decoy. Morris has certainly shown his potential contributions, especially the screen pass, and it wouldn't be smart to remove that element from Romo's arsenal.
