Let’s admit, in deference to the NFL, Trey Lance is as useful as breasts on a fish. Let’s “take a look” at someone who at least has been playing quarterback, at some level, before considering a known failure to take the reins of the Cowboys.Let's not ruin all the progress by throwing him out there too early.
Let's take a look next preseason and then put him back on the shelf. That fruit doesn't ripen until 2025.

Especially for a quarterback that had his learning process broken up in it's early stages.Let's not ruin all the progress by throwing him out there too early.

Throw him out there too early? This his 3rd season. He won’t be playing anyway this season, he’s not the backup. The only way he’ll have any chance of developing is by playing. The longer he’s on the sidelines, the less likely he’ll become a solid NFL QB. If he doesn’t get on the field until 2025 he’ll be stale. The Cowboys may look to trade him by then, because he’s not going to be happy as a backup. He wants another opportunity to be a starter and that won’t likely happen with the Cowboys.Let's not ruin all the progress by throwing him out there too early.

Lance reminds me of of the bloke who doesn't produce much or get skills but is holding out for a management job.Throw him out there too early? This his 3rd season. I see you are a warm and fuzzy kinda person.Let’s admit, in deference to the NFL, Trey Lance is as useful as breasts on a fish. Let’s “take a look” at someone who at least has been playing quarterback, at some level, before considering a known failure to take the reins of the Cowboys.
Maybe for another team.Let's not ruin all the progress by throwing him out there too early.

You mean like the one the 49ers have? It did not work out there. They loved him and traded the world to get him. Why would it work in Dallas.insert him into the 2016 Dak Prescott offense it was built on simplicity and effectiveness for mobile QBs. It limited reads, improved vision and separation. Then develop him slowly and keep expanding. I think the guy would be deadly.
No, the 49er offense is as much more complex. You mean like the one the 49ers have? It did not work out there. They loved him and traded the world to get him. Why would it work in Dallas.
Once a project always a project. I marvel at the time expended on this player who one day, if he works hard enough, will be a JAG.T
They said the same thing about Romo and luckily Parcells didn't cave to fan pressure.Once a project always a project. I marvel at the time expended on this player who one day, if he works hard enough, will be a JAG.
by 2025 he’s a free agent though, that’s the issue. Unless you see a total dak collapse and jerry decides to move on which seems very unlikely at this point you’re basically developing lance to try out for another team.Let's not ruin all the progress by throwing him out there too early.

That theory has been proven wrong so many times by Cowboys over the years.Once a project always a project. I marvel at the time expended on this player who one day, if he works hard enough, will be a JAG.
I don’t know I’m looking at the Green Bay quarterback situation. It was nice for him to sit behind Rogers for two seasons.Throw him out there too early? This his 3rd season. And how exactly do you think he’s going to play before preseason next season? DerrrLet's not ruin all the progress by throwing him out there too early.
