If he got on those PEDs he would...25mil for LT ~20mil for RT.
Luckily, Steele is not near Johnsons level.

What does Steele’s agent think. The Cowboys tried to sign him last offseason. The agent said no. Now we do know what players think of Stephen’s honest offers so who can really tell.25mil for LT ~20mil for RT.

Whether it’s a good decision or bad decision isn’t what was asked. It’s what happened. Not hard to understandNot really. The one-year extension is for $30 mil, which seems very much like a major overpay on their part.
He's highly unlikely to fulfill that obligation in four years. It seems to me like they're cutting their own throats.
Very true, although I can't help but to think it's gonna bite them in their fannies over time. Can't wait to see how this turns out in the end.good for him he's been a good lineman.

You mean like Zeke's contract? How about DLaw? How about Dak? Stop with the feigned outrage and stop with trying to oust people because you disagree with them. This place would be hammering Jerry for this move, but we are surrounded by eagle fanzz here.
Shouldn’t this eagle lovefest be moved to THE nfl zone?
look at that head in his picture you would be outraged too if you had a noggin like that. sheesh. You mean like Zeke's contract? How about DLaw? How about Dak? Stop with the feigned outrage and stop with trying to oust people because you disagree with them.
Dummy years apparently. Not sure how he can be under contract for the next four years if it's a one-year deal. Something's seriously amiss here. It appears it's actually a $72,000,000 contract over 4 years not what is claimed.
he is a one of a kind OL , just simply does not allow anyone to sack his QB. a unique talent and he is a notable leader for them and they want him to retire an eagle .I understand what the tweet is saying, but I don't understand why....$30MM for a guy who will be 35/36 when the deal kicks in. Was he holding out for more money or something?
Probably spread out like crazy but from the player’s perspective it’s about the guarantee and it’s mostly all guaranteed...but how does the money actually break down in the grand scheme of things?
That's perfectly fine, but the top RT on the market this year got $17MM per season. Johnson getting $34M just sounds insane to me. I guess if it's for the purpose of spreading that money out over the next couple years to give him a (well-deserved) raise it makes more sense. When we see the new terms and payout structure of the deal put in place it might make more sense.he is a one of a kind OL , just simply does not allow anyone to sack his QB. a unique talent and he is a notable leader for them and they want him to retire an eagle .
True but he also doesn’t get called on obvious fall startsgood for him he's been a good lineman.
It's called a extension for restructuring. They're basically adding another yr they can pro rate his restructured base into a signing bonus.I really hate the BS reporting taking place as the money being reported was an add-on to an existing contract and not necessarily a 1-tear $33M deal that is being consumed.
Let's wait to see how the contract is actually spread out as the Schefters of the world are jumping to get the news out and tweeted before relaying all the info.
