Larry fitzgerald best WR in the league

I do not rate Calvin Johnson that high yet. I want to see at least 3 years out of anyone to put them in the top 5.

Exactly. You rate players that high based on production, not potential.

Sure CJ has potential, but lets see him do it before you rate him that high.

What is a receiver's job?

To catch passes.

No one does it better than Larry Fitz.

I'd take him over any reciever in the league. You can always find a burner. But you can't find those hands.

I would trade our whole receiving core for him.

I think he deserves to be considered in the best hands of all time. He is that good.

Oh no...

I agree with you about something

Id still take either Johnson, Andre or Calvin before him.

He's definitely a circus catching looney tho. Something Owens, especially this late in his career, could learn from him.

This is not a TO thread!!

:lmao:

Calvin is an absolute freak. Will be the greatest receiver of all time when it's all said and done in my opinion (if he can stay healthy of course) He's still young though, and I couldnt put him in my top 5. After next season though, he'll prob be regarded as the best in the game.

Everything I've read said he has one of the best work ethics coaches have seen. Add to that that he's 6'5, has a 39" vertical, and ran a can run a 4.3 40, and you have everything needed to be the best of all time.

What Jerry Rice did statistically at the WR position throughout his career is so dominating in comparison to the 2nd best statistically at his position it even trumps what a Micheal Jordan (NBA) or Wayne Gretzky (NHL) have done in their respective sports career wise. He's not recognized like they are but what he has done at his position in comparison to the rest of his sport is more dominating than what they accomplished to the next best in their sports.

Calvin Johnson is a stud WR and will be top notch for a while heath permitting but the odds are that he will not be the greatest of all time at his position. Even the season TD record Moss holds is for a full 16 games where Rice did it in 12 games and dealth with a strike during the season. Good luck to any WR that is rying to approach Rice for best all time at the WR position.

Todd Haley must be the best OC in the league, too. He manages to find ways to get the ball to his best player despite missing his #2 WR, an average running attack, and no receiving threat at TE.

Hmmmmm.....

Moss has an off year and he's off your lists? Nice.
Thats what I was thinking. He's still at least top 3

Calvin is the best... but with Romo underthrowin him, he would make him look like Pat Crayton.

Warner makes Boldin and Fitz better. So does the playcalling.

Garrett and Romo make TO and Roy look worse.

I'd take him. Over all three of the people you listed except maybe Calvin Johnson. Fitz routinely goes up high and catches the ball above 2 defenders. Imagine what he'd do if he weren't always thrown to in double-coverage?

Fitz single handedly dismantled the Panthers, dude stepped it up when Boldin went down. The guy is definitely money...

Fitz is a beast, his route running is very very underrated. He's technician.

Absolutely. Aside from his size and athletic ability, he is a good route runner. And that's priority one for a receiver.

Straight-line speed is always nice, but it's not the most desirable commodity for a wideout. Precision route running, ability to beat jams/getting in & out of routes, and pluck the ball out of the air.

Fitz can also go get the football, not to mention he's hell to bring down after the catch.

I remember when Larry Fitzgerald and our Roy Williams were coming out of college, most believed that Larry Fitzgerald was better but I felt Roy Williams didn't have a decent throwing Quarterback in college his senior year.

Now, there is no question which receiver is better and Larry Fitzgerald could be the best receiver in the NFL.

I wonder if he would be just as good if he was wearing a Cowboys uniform?
