Late Game Thread

In the AFC, Chiefs are about to win their division and get the 2 seed (bye) while Raiders will be the #5 seed.

Raiders were riding high for much of the season. They even had a small shot to get HFA in the closing weeks and a better chance of at least getting that second seed. All of that changed so quickly.

Seattle vs Detroit/GB loser
NY Giants vs Detroit/GB winner

We cannot play Seattle or Atlanta (obviously) in the Divisional round. We will play Detroit, NY Giants or Green Bay, whoever is the lowest seed that wins.

If you are the Lions/Packers would you lose to face Seattle then Dallas instead of the Giants then Falcons?

No they haven't. They can't run the football. They also most likely won't be opening at home like they did in '11 or against a weak Bucs team like they did in 07. So no. And I'm not worried about them anyway even if they do get past the wild card round. So i guess I'm lying to myself.:flagwave:
You're not concerned about the opportunistic nature of that secondary? You're not concerned about Jenkins potentially shutting down Dez? You're not concerned about Hankins and Harrison shutting down or at the very least neutralizing our run game? No concern about JPP coming back and terrorizing Free? No concern about how Vernon has historically held his own vs Tyron? No concern about Spagola's blitz packages confusing Dak?

Man there is a lot to be concerned about with the Giants. They might not have the run game they had with Jacobs, but they have very good receivers and one that can take it to the house on any play. Their winning with explosive plays, turnovers, and stout defense.

We've had this argument, already. You lost. There's no QB metric that says Romo isn't as good or better than any quarterback in franchise history.

I lost how? I'm asking you if this is acceptable? Two playoff victories in 10 years as a starter? I like Romo.. I took ANOTHER Romo injury and an insanely phenomenal rookie to unseat him. Anyway you slice it, 2 playoff wins in a decade is NOT GOOD. Stop making excuses and raise your standards man.

Shut your mouth, it's you who have no clue. Roger and Troy have 5 Super Bowls, tony has two playoff wins. The only stat that matters is number of championships.
Ugh, no it's not. I'm so tired of this nonsense. Stop being lazy. You're not making an argument.

Is it ok to have two playoff victories in a decade? Seriously? You need two in one year just to make the conference championship at least.

What's not okay is casual fans who don't delve into tape or numbers thinking they have any leg to stand on in a discussion. Let's face it, and I am putting this politely, you are one of them.

Anyone attempting to state the ring argument with Aikman and ignoring the team we assembled is blatantly being obtuse and pushing a narrative.

You leave our exactly what happened on those playoff games. You do this for a reason. Don't waste my time and go to your usual argument when I back you into a corner, "Agree to disagree"

I thought they just said Giants go to Seattle.

We have computers now. We know Romo has been better in his career than Aikman.

Seattle likely wins their game next week against Detroit/Green Bay, meaning we play the Giants again if they win their game.

Tom Savage/Osweiler vs. Connor Cook/McGloin in a playoff game. Disgusting

I think the Chiefs can beat the Patriots. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
if maclin is not able to play the chiefs may not make it past the steelers. maclin hurt his knee today hopefully he can play full strength in the first playoff game.
