Here's one of those multi-step +0.5 seconds after the ball is out hits. Romo's even relaxed his non-throwing hand. St. Louis ball:

This is a great play because not only did they miss the late hit, they missed the trip. So if they weren't watching Romo and they weren't watching Murray, what the hell were they looking at?

digusting.

the problem is jerry and jason are way too nice when it comes to this stuff.

I don't get it. They aren't being too nice about it. It's as if they just accept it. It's total bs.

I don't see it. Romo is treated just like any QB in the league. I understand there are a great deal of worshipers out there and of course their perspective is skewed, but among average fans I don't think that conspiracy exists.

Then you are blind as a bat!

Romo hater or lover doesn't matter. It's just wrong.
Brady, Manning's , Bree's all get that call 99.9% of the time.

Whether it's conspiracy or not, I think it's time for our team and our coaches to start making bigger deal when he gets touched, if it can possibly be construed as an illegal hit, we need to be making the case, loudly. He's not only the franchise and we're (at least for now) a contender, but there's a health issue with his back surgery. You know other teams are targeting it to knock him out and try to make us one-dimensional. I'll take a couple shoves after the whistle and a scrum or two here to make the point that it's not going to be tolerated. If the refs think not flagging it will result in possibly losing control of the game, it's human nature to look more carefully at every hit he takes.

Really good point

The elite QB's always will get special treatment. The league must protect it's stars... it's a business decision. Romo just isn't in that club. Romo worshipers just have a hard time accepting that fact.

someone ought to make up a video comparing all the rinky dinky ticky tacky calls Brady gets versus Romo. Nothing like seeing something like that to get things stirred up

I like Romo. Not a worshiper.
I rip Romo on his gaffs. Not a hater.

But you couldn't be more wrong.

I know. It's as clear as day with this one.

Serously. Yes. An referee oversight committee is needed.
They should not have that much control.

It's a business. Protecting Brady, Manning, Brees is a business decision because they are elite. If Romo were elite he would be protected more as well... that is just good business sense. If you are truly not a worshiper then you can understand this, if not then maybe you think higher of Romo than you are willing to admit. Calling me wrong about this and "blind as a bat" tends to suggest you are a worshiper. I don't really hate Romo i just see him as the non-elite QB that he is. I think the league agrees or they would protect him better. Again, it just makes good business sense.

Illogical. No one will "get that".

If you and I sit down in a room and watch game film of Romo taking some of those late hits or hits to the face and helmet...if we do this and take ALL bias out of it and you still went with what you are posting then..... It would be clear that is simply you do not like Romo.

Romo may make some bad decisions at the most inopportune times but to say that he is not on par with those other QBs is just.....Hate.

No football person ie. Coordinator or coach or explayer turned analyst would agree with you. Only the hater ones.

Your beef is with the league that allows him to take so much punishment without being flagged, not me brother. If Romo is as elite as you say, the league (grosses over 9 billion dollars a year) is making a huge business mistake... one that can get him seriously hurt. If I'm wrong, my words will not hurt either you or Romo so where is your real beef? I'm just one fan that has been wrong before and will be wrong again but it doesn't hurt anyone when my opinion is wrong about sports. If there is something here really worthy of protesting, it's the league conspiracy allowing an elite Romo to get pummeled.

It's either that or what I've been saying... the league does not see him as an elite QB and therefore does not give him the Brady, Manning, Brees treatment.

The Cowboys get some of the highest ratings of any nfl team. If it's all a business decision as you claim to think then wouldn't they try to protect our QB thus making future high tv ratings of the Cowboys more probable?

It's not a conspiracy. It's incomeptence and bias. It exists in the world of billion dollar business and every where else. Refs are people too.

He doesn't get the respect others do plain and simple.

A foul is a foul. Any official blatantly disregarding rules is wrong not matter the sport. However, offering explanations to legitimize the problem beats officials' impropriety hands down.

The Cowboys get high TV ratings with or without Romo. There you go conflating Romo's importance once again.

You are suggesting multiple refs in multiple games failed to properly protect Romo. That sounds like more than mere incompetence. It suggest complicity by the refs to not treat Romo as they would Brady, Manning, or Brees... a conspiracy.

Your words not mine but thank you we agree it's something extra ordinary.

No, I'm asking you if that is what you are suggesting. I see many other non-elite QBs getting questionable hit and not being flagged as well. It's not so extra ordinary.
