Latest Jaylon Smith tweet

Jaylon is back in Fort Wayne for a few days (where I live) and he had an appointment this morning at our hometown bank with a good friend of mine. Jaylon had no update other than "I'm feeling really good, just being patient". He is a very cool dude and real down to earth. Also said JJ is like having a 2nd dad, which is not shocking to any of us. If I knew how to post pictures, I would post a few.

most likely he will not know where he should be in a zone or whom to cover in different packages at that time. Also fitting into team chemistry for backing each other in defense would be hard, unless they give him very limited plays or snaps, so I wouldn't get my hopes up this year but I would be thrilled if he gets a few games this year and a complete off season with the team

He's been told that when he posts this type of stuff it is taken as having to do with his knee whether that is the intent or not. He acknowledged the understanding when Fisher pointed it out.

He may be religious but he is also is into marketing down to the slogans and catch phrases. He knows exactly what he is doing in building up hype. The question is if there is any substance to it.

saying he understand does not mean he need to stop using his twitter account. People seem to think they should have say over player personal business. I guess all this twitter post should meet fans and media approval? come on. Damn can't these guys do anything without people making a fuss over it?

When his nerve issues are done and he is ready he and the organization will let people know but going crazy over any little thing including a twitter account seems to be a problem for others not him

Come on, people get some wrapped up in this crap. When he is ready it will be announced getting upset over some twitter account is

. I guess I know why they call it twitter only twits would be up in arms over postings lol
 
I partially blame Gil Brandt who has close relationship with Jaylon Smith. Gil was on podcast talking about how Smith looks really good is cutting and gave impression Jaylon is close to playing but reality is there is no medical (nerve) change yet. Personally, I give it to thanksgiving and if nerve doesn't fire by then my optimism will evaporate quickly.

Honest question. Where in Fuzzy's message (or anyone else's) was it stated that Jaylon should stop tweeting? I missed it.

I think that hes' doing it because it's probably fun. Personally, I'm getting a kick out of it. I have no problem not knowing right now, but also like the idea that he could actually play this year. He's keeping hope alive for us. That's spiritual, right?
 
You know come to think of it, people have a right to be upset or blow things out of proportion or read into any little thing out there, if they choose. If this place has taught me anything it is people will get frustrated over the most silly little things.

I'm not talking about media approval. I am saying that he knows that when he makes these types of tweets that right wrong or indifferent people take it as related to the knee. We know he knows it because of how Fisher asked his question. I don't really care much what Fish makes of it.

IOW, if he is posting this type of stuff and his knee situation hasn't changed then he knows he is misleading people.

What I think is that he isn't trying to mislead people, he seems like a nice guy, but he is being instructed by the club to keep his rehab progress under wraps. That lines up with how cagey the HC of the team is about injuries and rehab. OTOH, if he loves himself and football and his peroneal is progressing then it would make sense that he is excited as heck about it. He does know how to market himself and does so actively after all.

It also helps that there are pics of him playing with his nieces without the brace on.
