There was jewelry. He didn't realize it was fake and it melted and that was the residue they found. It all makes sense now.

Vick is a punk that lacks leadership skills. I would have traded Vick and promoted Schaub. Vick would have commanded a premium from someone enamored over his physical skills and they could have built a team much better than they have now.

Didn't the 'residue' the police allegedly smelt turn out to not be marijuana? The media spent weeks telling the falcons organization to cut him, but perhaps less than a 10 second segment telling that he was innocent of the charges.

Maybe saying it was a jewelry box wasn't the brightest thing. He should have just dropped the issue because it was fading away as a story. But Vick and Atlanta loyalists will believe him and that might be enough.

Do we know for sure that the tests showed absolutley no marijuana? Maybe it came back as a small percentage of marjuana, but not enough to legally issue a charge. Therefore the official response is a negative test. I am just asking because I don't know all the legal aspects of this type of situation. I do know it is slightly different in each area.

The laws vary quite a bit in the county I live in and the neighboring county. Obviously illegal in both counties, but it is a stricter standard and penalty in the neighboring county.

I was listening to Vick on NFL radio and he said he didn't bring it up because he didn't think anyone would believe him. It's not a very believable story, so he's probably right.

The bottom line is that he didn't get caught with marijuana so it's not really a big deal. It doesn't really matter what the bottle could be potentially used for. And I'd bet money that if they did find any trace of marijuana he would have been charged.
