Lawrence Needs To Go

He changed once he got the big contract. He was a real good player when he was trying to impress them to get that contract, seems to have put it in neutral ever since.
He didn't change at all. Watch him play. He goes all out on every snap.

Here ya go champ.

Thanks for enlightening me about stuff I didn't see on tv. Yes, they were flat out dumb plays that no one should make. He can be coached up on those things I would think. What say you? Or is he really dumber than a bag of rocks?

Coached up? Lol. This man will be 30 this year, a veteran in the league, and we’re talking about “coaching him up” to not do stupid crap like that in a playoff game

Gonna pay him $19M to go away? He's a productive player, albeit overpaid. They can't sign Gregory, that will be worse. May as well keep Lawrence for 1 more year.
no common sense inhere they all live by the madden gameplay and Fantasy football league rules lol..

That may be so but I believe in redemption. Apparently you do not. Which is fine. Do I believe we break the bank to resign him. No, I don't.

If they played or coached with JG then its time to check every option available on replacing them...May not work but the head clown is not leaving yet so this is option B to try and cure the disease.

Please inform everyone on DLAW's performance...would love to hear your expert opinion.
Oh, you're looking for expert opinions? In that case, why not listen to the guys around the league who praise his ability. Or did you mean experts, as in "you"?

They all have ability, they just seem to shrink in big games..ALL OF THEM ...again I think the players are good but together with this franchise they have come up short in big games. No diferent than the last good core players we had.

We've been talking about Lawrence a lot, we all know he's overpaid for his sack production. But he remains a disruptive player in pressures and in the run game. At some point the Cowboys will likely move on, but not the time now when you're building a defense that's turning the corner.

For now we'll continue to overpay him 5-6 million a year.

Sometimes you treat the symptom but yet the disease lingers. Looking at you Jerry Jones.

Let me remind you,.... DLAW counts 27mil towards the 2022 cap.... the 2nd most expensive player on the Cowboys roster....only person higher will be DAK which will count 34mil in 2022

Who is praising DLAW... Darin Woodson? Michael Irvin ? Troy Aikman ? all I heard was the Cowboys star players didn't show up... Come on now....tell us who is praising DLAW

I'm not talking about ex-Cowboys.
Brian Baldinger for one: https://www.nfl.com/videos/examinin...end-demarcus-lawrence-s-power-baldy-s-breakdo

Are you going to tell me he's not an expert? Every time any of the analysts mention him, it's always complimentary. Show me one expert who shows any evidence to the contrary.

Whether you like him as a player and what he can do for you as a player MUST be viewed through the cap implications of that player.

Tank has basically been an albatross for the Cowboys in terms of cap hit vs production. He does not really get anywhere near the production you should expect based on his contract numbers

Hey I get your point...but the video you presented is an OLD VIDEO....if you listen to it.. Baldy is talking about Marineli as the DC.. But not worth debating....I think in the end..DLAW will be let go..and needs to move on. He will be a cap casualty and that is what needs to happen.

Only a fool would keep DLAW at 20mil a year (top 4 in the NFL) and count 27mil against the cap in 2022

Lawrence's deal is terrible for Dallas, and I have been a advocate of cutting him to save his salary in the past. But what the playoff game showed me is that this team cannot win with offense as long as Dak is the QB. I like Dak. He is a good guy and a good QB, but there is a problem that shows up in big games. I believe it is something that will never go away. So the answer is to build the defense, and the running game. They already overpaid Lawrence and Dak. It is too late to fix that. At this point they have to accept what they have and start focusing on how to get the most out of the players they have.

Gregory and Armstrong are free agents and the likelihood is they will not sign both of them. In fact, there is a good chance they will not be able to re-sign Gregory because he will get an offer he can't refuse ad the Cowboys can't match. It would not be a good idea to cut Lawrence if Gregory and Armstrong both leave. Having Golston and Basham as the only returning DEs would be a disaster.
