If LT was doing a 16 yr old in the state of New York, its statutory rape regardless of if the girl consented or not.

The fact that the Police recovered a condom, presumably used, they have LT's DNA and this case is about as clear cut as you can get. That probably explains why LT confessed that he had sex with her since the Police already have all the physical evidence they need.....if the reports are true.

Personally, I think they should castrate the sick ****.

This is my old stompin grounds

You are correct
The problem is that both NJ and NY have Ramapo's
Yes the age of consent in NJ is 16
But the age of consent in NY is 17
The Crime occured in NY
The girl is 16

strange thing - the town of Ramapo NY is almost on the NY/NJ border, if he had traveled another 3 minutes he would have been in a NJ motel and apparently trouble-free

For some weird reason I have a complete lack of empathy
I see jail time
He'll be getting in touch with his feminine side very soon

My mistake. It has been 19 years since I lived there. I saw Ramapo and assumed it was the one in NJ. Many of the players live in the Franklin Lakes/Ramapo area. By the way this is a good thing. LT will get what he is due. I was worried he would be able to walk away without punishment again.

Paladin, just thinking about old times, where did you attend high school? I know you have a couple of years on me, but was curious. I went to Don Bosco class of '90. Funny thing. The Quest health club is right next to my high school. I used to work out every morning before school with my Dad. That is where I got to know Judy Parcells. She was part of our breakfast club. Nice lady.

So finally heard something about this case on ESPN after shrugging it off to an actual rape acse.....I thought he actually RAPED someone.....not just had sex with a prostitute....which to me, is two totally different things, even if she was 16. I'm sorry, it should't be RAPE if it's consentual. The dictionary term uses "force" in all its definition of rape. No force, no need to include the term rape.

Did he do something bad? Maybe. But saying he raped someone in every headline aint right.

Any 50 something male should not be having sex with a 16 year old little kid. What in the hell is wrong with you? Do you like them young? Pathetic. By the way, as it has already been pointed out RAPE is RAPE. I really have to wonder about the folks that think its OK for a grown man to RAPE a little girl.

It's an easy enough mistake to make especially since the initial news reports refered to NJ. Alot of my friends went to Don Bosco, (one of them built the Quest, I worked out there when i was in HS) I was Northern Highlands '83, its very cool to see someone from the old locale. I laugh when people tell me how rotten NJ is - to me it was like growing up in a Norman Rockwell painting.

I wonder if she'll cooperate with the authorities in the long run.

Dude . . . she's 16.

All LT has to do is giver her Justin Beiber tickets and she'll swear to secrecy.

Good times. My high school sweet heart went to Northern Highlands. I laugh when I see comedians and people unfamiliar with the area make fun of Northern Jersey. Beautiful area. I remember a Japanese steak house on top of a mountain just over the border into NY state I think, (details get fuzzy with age). You could see NYC from it on a clear night. The state parks in that area are incredible. Used to do a lot of camping and fishing. I miss the forests. Not much like that in my area of Kansas. Spent a lot of my summers out at LBI.

What no mountains or "the shore" in Kansas.......:)
Yes that would be Mt Fuji just across the border.

Way to overreact there chief. He didn't RAPE (dictionary term) a little kid. 16 is not a little kid...have you seen how 16 year olds act nowadays. Anyway, that's beside the point. Rape is having forceful sex against someone's will. He did not do that. Now statutory rape is a different story since it can be consentual but you're still in the wrong. That is my original intent of my post in which you went overboard on. Most headlines I read just said he RAPED someone...like holding them down and forcing it etc. which I think deserves a punishment of having your junk cut off. Not that he had sex with someone who said they were 19 (consentually) and later found out she was underage.

Listening to LT's lawyer on the radio. Sounds like LT got "something" from this girl. The lawyer said no love act was consumated

IMEO hes going to reach a plea bargain b/c shes underage.

My point is any man with an ounce of morals would not be ****ing 16 year old little kids. Pretty simple really. You can rationalize or justify such as you did with the "16 is not a little kid...have you seen how 16 year olds act nowadays" comment but that fact is LT by the letter of the law is a rapist. Now if he gets convicted is a completly different story. You do understand there is a very long list of things LT has done over his life that clearly identify him as a scum bag. His nailing a 16 year old in a hotel cheating on his wife is just the most recent example.

Maybe you have kids and a wife and maybe you don't but to say it's OK for LT to have sex with/rape according to the law, a 16 year old and to continue to insist it's not rape or very, very wrong is insane in my opinion. How much choice do you really believe that little girl had?

Edit: kmp77....nothing personal against you. hope you understand. I just know more about LT than I probably should. I overreact sometimes when kids are involved. peace to you big guy.

Chances are hes going to be found guilty of something.

He spoke to police before speaking to his lawyer. Just a matter of time now.

Ignorance is one thing but if she intentionally misled him then is not that a mitigating factor?

Ouch. Her pimp told her to tell him that she was 19 and she did. Unfortunately, she was still underage and ignorance of her age is not a valid defense. If they can prove that he had sex with her, he is guilty.

If he used a condom or if there is no physical evidence of intercourse, then he should be able to deny and possibly get off. Her word against his word.

Not good for him. He admitted to paying for sex..... But claims he thought she was 19.

Taylor told investigators that after "engaging in sex acts" with the victim, he paid her $300 in cash, the complaint says. The man charged in the complaint, Rasheed Davis, had told the Giants legend that the girl was 19, the court papers say.

What a freakin idiots. Both Rapelsberger and LT. For the amount of money it will end up costing Rapelsberger in suspension and lawyer fees he could have spent a year in Amsterdam with the finest prostitutes everyday.

With the money LT will fork out in legal fees, LT could have flown to Europe, had dinner at the finest restaurants, and had Europe's finest prostitutes do whatever he wanted and still saved money.
