LB Carpenter sharing the reps... whaz up?

Keith Davis is apparently our starting SS too.

*Keith Davis, manning the starting strong safety spot, made several nice plays. He had an interception off of rookie free agent QB Richard Bartel that would have been returned for a TD.

Richard Bartel could also be my waiter in a few weeks if he plays badly and doesn't make this roster.

I would be concerned if this was August.

I am some what concerned about it, but you make a point about waiting until August.

First off, this was posted during the mini camp and is old news. Second, anyone that actually thinks there is anything to this is delusional. Of course some of the late rounders and UDFA's are going to get some reps early...people have to get cut...might as well find out who they are sooner than later.

Let me guess. When you are in school, the teachers call you "special."

I think in Abilene he's probably called, "normal."

Capenter is going to be a good player, nothing special I don't believe.

Carpenter, although he played very well at the end of the season, still has alot to prove.
I'll bet you guys are the same ones who were jumping off the Michael Irvin and Troy Aikman bandwagon after their rookie year also we're you? It's only been one year people. ONE!!!

The last quote says Carpenter played well at the end of the season but still has a lot to prove.

How is that false in any way?

It's not.

But doesn't that include almost any rookie from any year?

The expectation level of our first round draft pick is set at a unreasonable height. That player is a rookie no matter the position. Just because a player is a first round pick doesn't mean they become All-Pro their rookie year.
