Carpenter, although he played very well at the end of the season, still has alot to prove.

It's not.

But doesn't that include almost any rookie from any year?

The expectation level of our first round draft pick is set at a unreasonable height. That player is a rookie no matter the position. Just because a player is a first round pick doesn't mean they become All-Pro their rookie year.
