It's not out of any pathological hate of Doug Free.

I just would love to see a starting offensive line all 25 years old or younger.

I hear you, and agree that it would be nice. However, the dragon is right... it likely won't happen this year.

Next year it could look pretty awesome.

And best of all, cheap.

Collins for pennies on the dollar. He would've got top 10 pick money.

Gibson/Chaz are on rookie deals. Leary was an UDFA, relatively highly paid like Collins considering the circumstances - but again they got both for a steal.

Martin is playing at an all-pro level and he's on a rookie deal. Frederick is a pro bowler and he's on a rookie deal.

Smith is already locked up as a Cowboy for life. Martin has 2-3 more years before he gets a deal. Frederick will get paid after next year. Leary may get a reasonable extention, depends on how Collins works out.

Our offensive line isn't just the best in the league, it's incredibly low-price with ridiculous ROI.

Same can be said for our defensive line. But we'll save that for another thread.

The Wally Pipp story is one of Garrett's favorites. I'm sure Leary has heard it a number of times. If he's not thinking about it, then he should be.

What's the Wally Pipe story? If it's too long, do you have a link that explains it?

Thanks.

Took a couple days off for a headache, guy that replaced him happened to be named Lou Gehrig - the rest is history. Pipp always said those were 'the two most expensive aspirin' he's ever taken.

Or something like that.

My hope is Leary is healthy and resumes his starting left guard duties.
And we can save the Collins taking his starting job for another day.

That would be great as well. I would also be happy with Leary staying beyond this year, but that's why you draft and develop young players.

Yeah, AC pretty much nailed it. Pip sat out and Lou Gerhig replaced him. Basically, that you can lose your position because of injury if your replacement is better than you.

No more injuries right now than a typical week in the NFL regular season.

They'd pretty much all play Sunday if it counted. Dallas is in relatively good shape as it stands right now.

Our oline is the envy of the entire league. This includes fans and owners alike.

Its not uncommon for fans of other teams to post on forums wishing that they had our oline.

Leary is lighting it up right now. The left side is easily the most ferocious run blocking duo in the NFL, due in large part to Leary.

Hopefully it's nothing. But boy, the Cowboys are being super cautious when it comes to these injuries. MRI's all around! :flagwave:

More often than not, what a sore back needs more than anything else is complete rest. Been there, done that.
