Many times an argument can be settled by the use of common sense. Ergo, how many nba players have gone on to become nfl stars? Lebron. Karl malone. Rodman. Dawkins
Chamberlain. There is a reason they stay in the nba where they belong.

Also, hard to be a 2-sport athlete at the elite levels of football when you play QB. Too much studying and preparation with QBs.

You could make the case that LeBron James is the most insufferable athlete of all time. I absolutely hate that guy.

He was never close. He was playing football that year, flag football. I remember this; he was in my Heat at the time and rumors were circling saying he might as well play pro football since he was dominating at flag football. I remember thinking he'd be a great WR/TE in the Cowboys. If the NBA season would have been canceled that year, then maybe there would have been a slight chance but it wasn't.

He's clearly a better scorer than Magic, but better all around is at least debatable. As for stats, scoring is the only category where LeBron is notably better, and Assists is the one category where Magic is notably better. Other categories are pretty comparable. I also think it's reasonable to argue that Magic controlled the tempo of a game and was more able to maximize the abilities of his teammates.

Fair enough. I think what LeBron’s doing this year in regard to his assist numbers show what he’s always been capable of as a passer, when he wants to be a true pass-first guy.

But LeBron’s such a dominant scorer on top of that passing ability, and in my opinion, that’s what separates him from Magic. His large scoring load is also why he didn’t reach Magic’s career APG numbers.

Magic always had a stacked team when he was winning with the Lakers, which doesn’t take away from his greatness. LeBron has dragged garbage Cavs teams to 60+ wins and Finals trips. I don’t think Magic was capable of that... I’m actually not sure if any other player in the history of the game was capable of that.

Can't stand Lebron personally but there is no denying that he is one of the greatest athletes ever.

I do, however, think that at 6'9" his knees would be a huge target. Not saying he would not have been a great player, players with his height have played in the TE positions. Gronk is 6'6". Pope is 6'8"

He chose the right sport for sure though. Easy decision!

Oh for sure. Its why you don't see many guys his size play in the NFL. Their knees would be targets. And that's a great argument. But when he said his "knees would give out".....Lebron is in GREAT shape. I've never seen anything like Lebron. He gets taken for granted because we've gotten use to him being around for so long but that guy is surreal. I don't know if we'll ever see something like him again......Zion Williamson would be another but he's already having injury concerns.
