Lee needs to be replaced

We cant depend on him to say healthy. Lb needs to be the top priority in next years draft, this FO would be absolutely ******** going into next season just hoping he stays healthy
Another thing Jaylon is freaking horrible

Jaylon is the worst NFL football player these eyes have seen in 20+ years. The defense's struggles are just as much a function of Smith's shocking ineptitude as they are the loss of Lee's All-pro level play.

It's almost unbelievable. Most of Jaylon's problems don't seem to be physical. He has terrible play recognition, very slow to react, terrible instincts. I think it is pride at this point for the organization. They just don't want to see it.

Man you guys should have seen all the jaylon smith is awesome threads at the beginning of the year. Then during the first couple of games - just give jaylon time, he's leading the team in tackles threads.

I swear some people just see what they want to see.

I'll start by saying Lee is probably my favorite player outside of Witten over the last era.

And I agree. I knew his missed games were bad, but I didn't know how bad until Buck or Aikman gave the number as being 41.

He's great, but you can't count on him. It's the old cliche of the best ability being availability. Unless you're Jaylon Smith--then availability is kind of scary.

I think that's an overstatement. When Smith isn't on the field and they use Hitchens and Wilson, the defense still sucks. That's not to excuse Smith who has been bad but all the LBs start to look a lot worse when Lee isn't on the field.

It's all pretty much Lee. And he's now unreliable with his injury issues.

LB needs to be fixed this offseason but with the front office doing their cheap FA plan likely again, we'll get a retread or two who won't be very good at LB, they'll count on Lee, who will likely get hurt again, and Smith.

Precisely. Doubles the drop off gap. I would never have believed that missing one player from a defense (that includes the greatest players of all time) could make things so easy for opposing offenses. With Jaylon manning the middle, runs consistently go for 10+ yards with the RB going untouched into the secondary and the middle of the field is easier to dissect via the pass than 7 on 7 in camp.

Stunning.

I seen this too. Terrible MLB. He needs to be move to SLB or WLB but we continue to just play him at MLB. He hurts our defense more than he helps it. The guy is terrible. Can't cut. Can't read a play develope. LB Justin March-Lillard should get the start over him just to see what we have. Can he possibly play worst than smith?

He needs to be on attack mode, Rod needs to send his *** after the QB. He cant read worth a ****,

Jaylon smith should have never been on the field as much as he is being featured this year. Essentially rookie who has been out of football for a year and he's now the leader of the defense?

This is why you need a real GM.
