It's almost unbelievable. Most of Jaylon's problems don't seem to be physical. He has terrible play recognition, very slow to react, terrible instincts. I think it is pride at this point for the organization. They just don't want to see it.
I’ve been saying this all season. He is a shell of himself.

He will never be the same player he was. You all can hold me to this. Mark it down.

Jaylon is the worst NFL football player these eyes have seen in 20+ years. The defense's struggles are just as much a function of Smith's shocking ineptitude as they are the loss of Lee's All-pro level play.

Then didn’t watch the Campo years. Team full of Jaylons. Dexter and Dat were good though

He needs to not be in the game...ever....

Probably ANY practice squad LB'er would be a huge upgrade to Jaylon Smith....they have to get that other guy they recently signed in there.
Yeah, youre right. We would have won today if he hadnt played

Lee is a solid player when he’s on the field. Unfortunately, he can’t stay on the field. They do need to consider replacing him...

We cant depend on him to say healthy. Lb needs to be the top priority in next years draft, this FO would be absolutely ******** going into next season just hoping he stays healthy
Another thing Jaylon is freaking horrible

I've said it before, LB should be the pick in the 1st or 2nd round next year. When Lee is out, all heck breaks loose.

LB, WR, CB, have to be top priorities with off season. Green was horrible, Smith was lost, Dez was non existent (he disappears when healthy so the injury doesn't give him a pass), and Lee was injured again (Glass Lee - All World until...)

on some run plays, i swear smith was just running randomly into the pile while the back was 2 lanes over.

I along with others saw this too. It was alarming. How could such a highly touted & accomplished player in college be so inept?
I'm wrong at least 60% of the time but I was against the pick when it happened.

Meanwhile Myles jack..........I should trust my first instinct. Jaylon fooled me week 1.

People really need to stop with the Myles Jack stuff.

Do you realize that he's playing SAM now? They benched him when he was at WILL. Then they handed him the starting MLB job this season and he lost that in camp because he was so bad that they moved Pozluzny back to MLB and eventually he found a place at SAM.

So if people are thinking if we took Jack and he'd have solved our MLB problems, they haven't really paid attention to what Jack is actually doing.

I try to go LB, WR, DT, OT if we can.

We clearly need to think about life post-Lee, a FAST deep-threat at WR, a run-stuffer in the middle, and better depth on the o-line (if Green is our best LT depth, we are HOSED).

A season under their belt, and Woods, Lewis, and Frazier ought to be fine.

Our line backers are small and can't get off blocks. If you want to run the scheme we run you better be able to generate pressure with the front 4 like nobodys business and have LB's that can fight off blocks. We either need a safety that is good in the box or a big line backer in the Donta Hightower mold who may be slower but can at least diagnose and find the right guy.
