Let's face it. Lee wasn't going to be able to play most of the season anyways. I mean he hasn't for his whole football career basically. He's too small for his position and plays at 100% all the time. It's a blessing in disguise that he's out for the season in May. This gives the GM plenty of time to come up with an alternative. We may not have a player for the opener who's as good as Lee is, but at least we'll have someone who's had a chance to learn the system and not be thrown to the wolves in game 6 or 9 as in years past.

I think this should seal his fate and let him leave while he can. Its been nice but i dont care if you have a ferrari if it spends most of its time in the shop.

On a personal level, I feel really, really bad for Lee. He's the type of player you want on your team. Plays all out all the time and is a great team mate. At the same time, sub-consciously, his team mates are thinking the same as the rest of us and that's that he just can't stay on the field. So I don't think this will be a big blow to how the defense progresses.

I actually agree with OP. There is no way Dallas could trust Lee being there if they were to make it to playoffs one of these years. Dallas might need three new starters next year at LB.

More like a curse in plain sight.

Between the blessing in disguise of Romo's back and the blessing in disguise of Lees injury, Dallas may be the most blessed team in the NFL.

Now just need to have a meteor land at Cowboys stadium to force 16 road games so we can all hear about what a blessing that is.

Stupid to talk about letting him go now. Let him rehab. Find his replacement and just understand that he can no longer be considered a starter on this team.

By this same logic, our d-line should have been great last year, since Spencer, Ratliff, Crawford, and Bass were all hurt early in training camp, right? This is bulsh. He is the best player on defense and it isn't a blessing at all.

This is a disgusting thread. Make me sick! He IS our best defensive player by far and we are here cheering this on?! ACL injuries happens all the time now. It's common injury. You are all just tasting sour grapes.

It's a disaster. He's the only blue chip player we definitely had on that side of the ball. Any replacement is a major step down in both talent and leadership.

I'm sick about this.

The fact that he's the best player on our defense, really makes me cringe. Let's hope someone steps up on this team and makes some plays.

I dont think your reading the correct meaning to the OP. Nobodies hooraying the injury. That comment is suggesting the timing is as good as can get.

The only good thing about this is whomever takes the Mike spot has training camp to fit into the D. That's it
