Leftwich to be released or traded...*Merge*

Carson Palmer is the only player I'd have rather had in that draft over T-New

I dunno... That Larry Johnson kid turned out pretty good.
But for that position in the draft, Newman was the best pick. I think I was hoping for Terrell Suggs pre-draft, but was happy with the Newman pick.

I like him, and I still do. Crazy how that all happened, and yeah, Del Rio will probably not last another season there with Garrard starting.

Rack - I do find it funny that you manage to blame so much on Leftwich's receivers, yet think that Vick was to blame for Atlanta's inept receivers. I personally think Leftwich>Vick, but I think both teams had the worst receivers in the league last year.

I think cutting Leftwich could come back to bite them,,,,,,

Why not start Leftwich on a short leash and swing to Garrard if he falters. Now when Garrard falters it gets ugly real fast there.

I like Leftwich better than I do Moore or Johnson. If Jerry passes, I'll be fine with it. If he decides to give him a shot, I'll be fine with it.

I think Chicago should make a play for him. I have no faith in Grossman.

Yeah, I'm not sure what Garrard has done to warrant all the love. He really isn't that good. They are going to have a rough season.

He'd be a great backup here, but I doubt he a) wants to take that and b) we would do that. Just not our style.

I agree that Chicago is a perfect fit for him. Downfield passing game. No starting QBs on the roster. Win win situation.

He was never any good anyway.

I'm glad we didn't take him.

We wouldn't have Romo now...if we had taken him...because we would still be waiting for him to blossom...Which obviously he hasn't.

I agree as a backup hes perfect ,way better than BJ,god.

Leftwichs ills are all injury related. What does it really hurt to bring him in at 3. Let him compete with Johnson and potentially stash a developmental QB also.

If healthy he can play if Romo goes down. Brad Johnson is not a viable plan B.....

How did the Jags come to the conclusion that David Garrard is a nfl quality qb? Sure he can run but so can Mike Vick and we saw how that worked.

QB isn't their problem so much as those bleeping crappy 1st round bust WR's. They suck enough to make any qb look bad.

ANd if Leftwich had played in Cincy, who knows, he might be jsut as good as Palmer.
