So this is really big news, if true. Once RR totally satisfied, presumably in next days, there's nothing then to keep Joneses from making a hire.

What's more... cynics (like me) will look at it and think, "Why bother interviewing Frazier, if one of Saleh or Prime is going to be your HC anyway?"

Didn't he satisfy the Rooney Rule by reaching out to Deion? Or does this require a more formal interview?

I really don't know.

I just hope he takes the time to interview multiple candidates from many different sources and that he doesn't have a closed mind in the direction he wants to take.

I also hope, but do not expect, that Jerry will relinquish certain powers that traditionally belong to HC's and even some of the GM responsibilities if the candidate has the qualifications to make them.

Pretty much confirms that the Deion call was BS. You don't need to fill your schedule with fake interviews if you've already got the guy and he meets the criteria.
